        thanks guays
great tips headers .. im already a veteran on my quit smoking attempts and im aware of the potential symptoms and the 3's are quite true... ill bare that in mind

i went swimming like 30 minutes ago... i usually swim once during the day and once every evening in the sea and i normally take a snus pris in when i go into the water... so this time i damn missed my pris ...

i really have to quit so ill stick to the plan... as they say quitting tobacco means to man up and become another person

I might just join you Precious on quitting... It's been on my mind these past days.
They raise the goddamn tax on tobacco here in Norway every single year.

Four years ago one can of General loose cost 11$, one can General loose today is 16$.
And I go through one can in 2 days.

But I don't care if snus might be harmful
And I don't care about the social stigma either.

What I do care about is my money.

How many hours have you gone without nicotine now Precious?

Keep it up, and good luck!

Do let us know how you get on. I'm not interested in quitting myself but I'm interested in how somebody else finds it.

The only way I could quit snus would be to start smoking again, and that is not going to happen. I am a nicotine addict and I don't mind. I will snus until the day I die.

Yeha I think I'll try to quit, I need to do tooth implants for gaps in my teeth and I think the operation is less likely to work if you use snus (not sure I know smoking it is snus seems like you wouldn't be sucking hard but otoh your also restricting blood flow to the tooth).

i do care about the money as well and financially speaking the cost of snus for two monts can pay off for one bedroom monthly rent or pay the monthly debt for a flat (one bedroom)...

Sorry man - but to quit you need to go through with those symptoms. You're prolonging the agony by sticking a prilla in.

If you have any unopened cans of portion snus, I'd be happy to take them off your hands for you.

If you really want to quit, that is stupid as hell to do. It's like a heroin addict saying "ok, so I've been heroin free for two days, I will just take one shot of the good stuff because it's saturday!"

                            It does not work.

You want to get the nicotine out of the body, not add more so the body has to start the withdrawal process over and over again... Weekend snusing is something you do maybe some years after, when you have a will power of a gladiator. Not after a few days.

Tobacco Truth: Weight! Quit Smoking Without the Gain

The big gainers were smokers and snus users who became completely abstinent from nicotine and tobacco.

But snus users and smokers who switched to snus didn’t gain any more weight than nonusers.

This is important news for smokers who are concerned about putting on pounds when attempting to quit smoking.

I have quit. It wasn't easy, and took a few tries. I had zero oral tobacco for 2 weeks, but then I had a small dip, just one. The I went 2 weeks again, and I admit, the craves still were in my head, but I believe they are gone now, as I had an urge yesterday, and got some dip, but the taste and the experience just wasn't good like it used to be, and I feel now no urge/desire to do it again.
I still do use nasal snuff though.
I quit because I didn't want to be "hooked" to anything, and I didn't want to further any wear on my gums.
I might be "hooked" on nasal snuff, but I have enough as it is to last my lifetime, and I even sold off a bunch. I'm just not a heavy snuffer.
Back to oral tobacco, I think the longer you go without, the more you loose your crave, and if you do have a slight relapse, it won't be as good as it used to be.
