From Skruf Snus here we have Skruf Slim Nordic White Xtra Strong Portion with a long-lasting, slightly salty, slightly sweet, licorice flavour.
The slim white portions sit comfortably under the lip and have a minimum drip.
Each portion contains 0.7g of snus and each can 16.8g snus in total. Skruf do not generally specify how much nicotine there is per gram of their snus as they say this varies from batch to batch with the tobacco leaf used but this brand they rate 4/4 (4 red dots) - Xtra Strong on their strength rating system.
The can is silver in colour with the Skruf logo, 'slim', 'white' '#4 / 4 red dots' and 'Nordic Extra' (on a black/red background) printed directly onto the catch lid.
Upon opening the can you are greeted with a wonderful slightly salty, slightly sweet, licorice aroma with a faint hint of tobacco in the background.
Upon placing a portion under your lip you are greeted with a subtle taste of sweet liquorice that develops a little into the foreground. As I really liked the flavour I found myself poking the portion slightly with my tongue from time to time to taste more and when I did this I got a burst of a stronger taste of salty licorice which quickly settled back into the original flavour.
There is no specified nicotine per gram for this snus but Skruf rate it 4/4 (4 red dots) - Xtra Strong on their strength rating system. This certainly is a strong snus, no doubt about that, but I found that the nicotine came on slowly and comfortably I'm guessing thanks to the snus being in the white portion format where the portions do not undergo the final pouch moisturization stage of the production process original portions do leading to a slower release of flavour and strength.
