    Setting the rotation...

I guess I should start by talking about my feelings about the last remaining snus from my various orders that I had yet to try...General Onyx. I wrote some thoughts on the Reviews thread for this brand but in a nutshell I like it better than General WP in the sense that it tastes more high quality and the black portions are just cool.

Is it a go to snus? No.
Is it a Tier 1 snus per this weird way I am trying to track my preferences? No

For me it is actually more Tier 2 but near the top. I used this snus exclusively all day and the fact of the matter is I just put in another portion but really wanted to put in an Ettans or Thunder Frosted Long+ instead. Yet I told myself I would use it all day so I am going to keep that deal with myself.

As for the "Tiers of Preference" here is my first crack at it. There are only three now but as I plow ahead towards 100 there will undoubtedly be more.

    TOP 1
    Jakobsson's Mint Strong Portion
    Ettans Portion
    01 Portion
    Thunder Frosted Long+ Portion

    General Mint White Portion
    Göteborgs Rapé

    TOP 2
    Offroad Frosted Portion
    General Onyx
    General White Portion
    General Wintergreen White Portion

    TOP 3
    Oden's Classic Kanel
    Olde Viking Spearmint
    Thunder Frosted ES Portion
    Thunder Coola Extra Stark

The bolded brands are ones I have enjoyed so much they have "won" a spot in the normal rotation. So why is Oden's Classic Kanel bolded being a Tier 3? This is due to the fact that GN tells me there will be a revamp at some point in the future and based upon other members lauding his successes I am banking on this being a winner too.

    Thanks for reading!

I actually have skruf on order right now and I think Jak's Classic as well (have to check on that one). Correct me if I am wrong, but if Phantom is much less expensive than Ettans and the profiles are similar that may be a win/win.

You know Monkey you make me think of the whole Tier thing....it may be worthwhile to not focus on overall preference in terms of tiers but maybe organize into basic types (classic pepper/citrus, mint types, pure tobacco types, etc.) although there are some which I am sure are unique unto themselves. Or possibly leave the tier system but color code based upon basic flavor types.....hmmmm....too much to think about now...need some more coffee.

      Thanks!

Tiers seem kinda weird to me but I am more artsy than analytical so......

I always class snus by flavor profile. Mints with mints and so on and then just decide what I like enough to get a roll of and what is only worth a one or two can order. ( and what to NEVER order again.)

Oh....Phantom Blue. Do it. Do it.

You know...I consider myself a little of both but I think you have a very valid point. My tastes is the thing driving this and as I go through the day switching out portions, it isn't what "tier" I am in the mood for but what taste, like just had a few warm cocoa earthy Ettans now I feel like a slug of sweetish menthol from a Offroad Frosted.

Damn...now I have to change things around again
