So based upon the meaningless poll I posted a few days back Oden's Original was one of the types I brought on my trip to Cincinnati to visit family. At the suggestion of GN, I also brought my can of Oden's Dry White 69 portion as well since it may "keep" better being a dry portion.
Now I know to some degree what everyone has been raving about

Now I am only a few portions into each but boy these are significantly different from any snus I have tried thus far. First off I am getting these savory black pepper laced tobacco notes. The profile is rich and not contrived or fake at all like some others brands where the flavors just don't quite meld successfully. Those feel kinda like a puzzle where the pieces are forced together and don't really fit quite right. Believe it or not for me the Oden's Original Portions are almost too strong at first but they do mellow to a nice steady flavor that lasts a long while.

As for the White Dry 69 portions, I see a similarity to the Originals but that may be due to same manufacturer, similar tobaccos. This one has a slightly sweeter, less savory peppery, and overall milder character that isn't too dry as others have stated once you wet it a bit. There are some citrus-like notes but they are very subdued for me. The flavor is just as long lasting but takes a bit longer to develop. My only real caveat is that for me the savory peppery character is so pervasive I don't see it as an everyday, all day product but more of a frequent member rotating in with others. I'll add an update to both of these as I work further into the cans but the plan is to keep at least one on me at all times during the trip. If this is any indication of what GN has in store for the rest of the Oden's lineup over the course of the year I am so looking forward to it (especially the revamped Original Kanel )
