    Taking it for Granit

Not sure if the title makes sense but I just had to use the wordplay, sorry. These are my thoughts on Granit Portion, my first sampling of a Fielder & Lundgren product

First off I really like the can…smaller than most and both lids seal very well. Plastic appears sturdier and of better quality than the majority of plastic cans I have had thus far. This can is a keeper to use for grab and go mixed portions. In terms of taste, for me it is a traditional profile of moderate tobacco notes laced with a citrus element. Neither really overpowers the other in my opinion and the tobacco has a mild earthy and slight peppery profile. The citrus I taste (and more specifically smell) is not really lemony like some are but more of a tangerine-like fruit. This seems to cut back on the sweetness which I like plus blends a bit better with the tobacco. This is the only can I had on me for the majority of a day so I got to use it exclusively, consuming 6-8 portions by night’s end. By then I was pleased but a bit puzzled. Half the portions were pleasant and they delivered consistent flavor which slowly trailed off after about 60 to 90 minutes. The others started out well for about 30 minutes then turned a bit bitter and caused a little too much salivation for my tastes. The “turn” seemed to go away after a few minutes but on more than one occasion I nearly spit the portion out. There wasn’t a pattern as far as I could tell since a “good” one would be followed by a “not so good” one somewhat back and forth. I can’t figure out if it was me (beverage interaction, more frequent adjustment of portion, too much talking, etc) or the product. Overall this is a nice break from more traditional lemon-like citrus/tobacco snus.

I'd place Skruf Original in the Bergamot category, since it's flavored with bergamot and rose oil. As for Granit, I love the flavor, since it reminds me of Lucky Strike -- all F&L snus products have a unique tobacco blend that is different from other manufacturers; it's hard to describe. The Los variety is delicious; I find it's tastier than the Original Portions.

I will take your word for it and based upon descriptions you are probably right...I just went through the can so fast with little to no reaction to it the actual profile escapes me. I wish I got more of the rose oil note but I may just not be sensitive to it.
