I love snus.
I also love to sport a tasty beverage.
I occasionally find myself asking me, "What is a tasty beverage that I can enjoy with this snus?"
Sometimes, I'm not sure.
I am certain that water is universal in pairing with snus.
Coffee too. I mean if you like snus and you NEED coffee, no brainier, right? Any snus, any roast, any bean anytime. And caffeine and nicotine go so well together, like meat and potatoes, fun and sun, Sonny and Cher, Starsky and Hutch, fat chicks and cankles, Beavis and Butthead, Turner and Hooch, Hall and Oates....
Tea is great with snus too. I like the occasional cuppa tea and have been happy with all of my tea and snus adventures. Green, black, oolong, white... all delicious in my opinion.
But this is just me. Where can I go from here?
What is good with a root beer float? What should I snus while enjoying a Stone Russian Imperial Stout? Is General a red wine or a white wine snus? Do lemon drop shots go well with wintergreen?
I don't think there is an answer that everyone will agree on. I haven't found one yet. Taste is so subjective, what works for one may be crap for another. I usually go with what's in my mouth at the time and hope it all works out. I treat it as a learning experience and a new adventure in the joys of snus.
I'm sure there are some serious no-no's. Some flavors, when combined, we all can agree on that are absolutely, cut your tongue out and replace it with a steamy hot poo awful.
Tomato juice and mint springs to mind as one of these.
Seriously, the thought, "I like tomato juice...I also like mint.....hmmmm." always ends up wanting to lick a cat's @$$ to get the taste out of your mouth. If I had a cat nearby after tasting that combo, I would have gotten scratched.
The best way is to go out there ans experiment a little. I have gotten some combos I will definitely not be trying again and that is what I will build on.
So, what goes well with a 1984 Chateau Margeaux?
Whatever you want.
Here is some more insight into this topic.
at least once a day, usually with Kronan but lately with just about any
decent peppery snus like Onyx.
btw, carrot juice and many of the juices in V8 are reputed to be good
against the ravages of gout. Figured it was worth a shot and after about
4-6 weeks there has only been one very minor flare-up. A few days prior
to starting this regimen, though, I had a bad flare-up that practically
immobilized me for 3 days.
On another note, I find the Unsalted V8 to be more flavorful and
full-bodied than Regular V8. http://www.yuuguu.com/images/emotico...ult/tongue.png
