    Getting Started

I am new to tobacco and I have several bags of chew here (different brands) and I want to get started. I absolutely hate throwing up and I would like to get around that if there is any way possible. How should I go about doing this so that I don't "buzz" too bad and so I definitely don't/reduce my chances of throwing up. Please be detailed in how I should do it, and if there is a specific brand I should start with, size of the chew,....frequency (how many per day to work myself up to being used to it as to not get sick), etc.

    Thanks so much in advance.

Did ya smoke before? I mean if you have some nicotine resistance I don't think there should be much problem with slammin' one of those SOB's in and chewing away.
But if you want to be careful just chew till you start feeling the nic hit then get the tobacco out. Should keep you from getting any form of nicotine poising :P
Also stay away from anything that says anything in the ways of "strong", extreme or powerful.

Probester, I'm not sure if you want to make fun about us or if you have been totally brainwashed by anti-tobacco-bogus-propaganda.

No matter what you've heard, you should see tobacco as a product very similar to coffee. In fact, coffee hits your stomach and metabolism harder than tobacco. Guess why tobacco ever became so popular, used by almost everyone - not so long ago! It's not a "hard drug" for "freaks" but just a mild stimulant. The probability to throw up is almost zero. Just grab a pinch of your chew, put it in your lower lip, spit out the saliva ... and wait what happens.

Really, you shouldn't overestimate the effects of tobacco, and in case you throw up anyhow, you'll simply know that tobacco isn't for you (just like many people cannot tolerate coffee and prefer to drink tea instead).

      Cheers!

I'm not making fun. I have no form of nicotine use in my past, but I have been AROUND cigarette smoke almost all of my life, second hand that is. So, I love the taste of chew and want to do it,.......as I have tasted it and spit it out. I just don't want to get sick from it. So, a small pinch in my jaw or lip. What will I feel, and how long in general would it take? Also, when should I spit it out to avoid getting sick? When i feel dizzy or nauseous? I do appreciate the help. Please give me more details. Sorry I am such a chicken haha, but I will get thru this and get started with your help.

I have no idea about what you're talking about. Use tobacco when you want to use tobacco, and get rid of it when you choose to. There are no rules, and everybody's physiology is different. If you get sick, don't do what made you sick. I seldom recommend tobacco for people, but I also don't dissuade anyone either. The risks and rewards are well documented, and people need to educate themselves, and make an informed choice. So my advice is to make an informed choice. The particulars you'll have to figure out yourself.

To be honest bro.. being so paranoid about the whole deal yer not going to enjoy tobacco anyway. Worrying about puking so much, you will get sick cause it is already in your head.

My advice would be not to start, using any tobacco product is addictive! Do you really want to be dependant on something? I started smoking in my teens and have spent the last 4 years trying to quit. It wasn't untill i was introduced to snus last year that i was able to stop. It may be a safer alternative to smoking and dont get me wrong i really enjoy using snus but it still costs me money and i still have an addiction. Basically all im saying is consider what your starting and make an educated choice.
