But too pricey for the amount.
Yes, that's pricey, unless you're dead set on trying it. In the U.S., you can get Levi Garrett at nearly any gas station for $2-$3 less a pouch, depending on which of the States you're in....

Damn that was tedious. I want to try some German chewing tobacco, and get hung up on the small stuff. Here's the total...

        Bernard Gekachelter Virginie 50g
        Bernard Offenbacher Kardinal 50g
        Grimm & Triepel Kruse No.5 5g
        Kruse No.7 5g
        Molens Prins Regent 12.5g
        NTSU Black 15g
        Poschl Gletcherprise Nachfullbox 15g

I'll review the chewing tobacco when it gets in. So many different snuffs, and I'm still spending money I don't have. Oh well, this should be it for quite awhile. I hope the chewing tobacco sucks. I seriously don't need to add to my tobacco collection disorder :^D

They came! I'll post my full thoughts later/ I had a nose full of sawdust, and couldn't give it the full attention it deserved. First impressions...

Great packaging. They come in a little paperboard box, maybe 30% bigger than an Oliver Twist box. Inside, the pieces are wrapped in waxed paper with a thin paperboard topper and there's a flat wooden stick included; perhaps to easily separate the pieces. Very environmental, and it's a nice old school touch you hardly see anywhere anymore.

I tried the #5, and based on my memory, they're about 4* the size of Oliver Twist. The flavor's a bit smokey. It's has medium sweetness(less than Oliver Twist going from memory), and a salty light licorice flavor. It reminds me a good bit of European salmiak candy.

That's it for now. I'll add to this later on when I try it with a clean nose and palate. For me, it isn't a substitute for snus, but I expected that. If I couldn't get snus, and this was readily available, I could use it full time. I prefer it to the Oliver Twist. The flavor is a little more sophisticated imo, and I like the packaging. Petroleum belongs in my gas tank, not enclosing my tobacco :^)

Sorry guys. I have a hard time using chew when there's good snus available, so it's taken me awhile to get back to it. The first taste is like a Smiths licorice cough drop, but not nearly as strong or sweet. It mellows to the salmiak candy I mentioned before, and the flavor disappears within a half hour. Very quick. I don't know about nicotine. That's not something I notice unless it's too strong, and these aren't too strong by any stretch.

If someone likes Oliver Twist, these are definitely worth a try. I wouldn't want to use them in place of snus, but I could. I don't see me getting these as a regular thing, but if MrSnuff continues to carry them, I'd get some with every order. Maybe even the big pack that comes in the tin. I'm a sucker for nice tins :^D

Being in the EU outside of Sweden, twist and plug chew is legally available in my local tobacco stores. Samuel Gawith and Gawith and Hogarth make the best. The tobacco can be smoked or chewed. I take a twist and use a knife to gut a lump from the end and keep it in my cheek for a few hours. It is a different experience to snus or dip but man it is strong.

Just be aware that although it is listed as a chewing tobacco it not all like American Chew such as Redman

                            OK... I'm slow....

All of the Oliver Twists taste like licorice and the juice can be swallowed, correct?

And, do all the Gawith and Gawith and Hogarth also taste like licorice and can their juice be swallowed?

DOG! You are confusing the hell out of me! Are the Oliver Twists the only ones ok to swallow the juice?

And finally, do the German twists that lx is using all taste like licorice and can their juice be swallowed?

I swallow the juice from OT, and GT. I've never had the GH twists, but I imagine quantity makes a difference. If you cut off a big piece, you may have to spit.

What is the difference between no.5 and no.7?

Not sure which to order. Is it a size thing?
