I haven't used a greenhouse mate. All outdoors on a very windy allotment - rustica isn't a massive 6ft delicate plant like the Virginias - its a wild type of tobacco that grows to about 3ft with smaller leaves and is much hardier than the commercial types - I'm certain it would do fine in biggish pots as long as someone keeps it watered. It's basically a weed!

If you haven't got the space why not have a go at guerilla gardening it? Grow the seedlings indoors in pots then in late may/ June just plant them out in random sunny spots in wasteland and parks where they're unlikely to get damaged and hope for the best. If you plant enough I'm sure some will take and produce good leaves to "forage" and cure.

    Cheers
