smokeless tobacco i tried in Nepal

it comes as like dried tobacco leaves like if you ripped open a cigarette... the tobacco is sun cured apparently... and you crush it up in your palm with a white powder that comes from the mountains. anyone know what that white powder might be?

Look up calcium hydroxide or edible lime. It might be that. Someone here whose here all the time i just cant remember the name now told me about it probably what they use in Makla and why Makla is not salty. Its supposed to be harder on the gums but i dont use it every day all day. Makla Platinum is just a part of my snus stuff rotation. I like it because it is strong plus not salty

I agree about what everyone says - its some form of lime powder like they use in SE Asia with betel nuts. What they're doing there is making a kind of elementary snus in their mouths - the water and snus grinding is all provided by your mouth! And the lime is the alkali to extract the nicotine.

Thanks guys. So is the lime pretty safe? I appreciate you wouldn't want to get it in your eyes. His bottom gums seemed ok. Would i be ok using this for a few weeks as my Jak's Melon is too sweet and has gone a bit dry already.

yes i tried it one time... it's good. but i don't know how safe it is.

I think this is a very viable option... my only caveat being i wouldn't want to swallow any calcium hydroxide. He tried my Skruf Stark los and found it too weak.

well, i've done this a few times. It costs next to nothing. Very strong. Sun cured tobacco. And edible lime which i wouldn't want to swallow. Yes this is a very good way of taking tobacco.
