I ended up pitching that pouch of Taylor's Pride. Even after I wetted it, and let it sit overnight, while it wasn't terrible, had a decent flavor, it was still just dried out leaves that have been wetted with tap water. I recall when I first opened that pouch, pulling apart the seal, it had a large unsealed part, and who knows how long it had been on the shelf. Oh well. I still won't buy more than 2 pouches at a time anymore.

I tried chew once a long time ago. Nearly puked.
Tried it again a few days ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I got Red Man Select. Sweet, kinda fruity, altogether not bad at all. I intend to try more brands as I go along.
Bought a can of Cope Straight long cut today. Haven't dipped loose in a while. Though I loved the flavor, man did I miss that Red Man, and the Got's Julesnus los I broke outta the freezer a little while ago. I just can't stand having bits and pieces floating around my mouth all the time. I didn't have that problem with my chew.
I think I like chew better than American style loose dip. It just stays together better and I feel like it's a more involved process. I form a little relationship with each wad of chew, moving it around, rolling it into a ball, grinding it a bit for more flavor or just letting it sit and chill. I don't chew gum but I could see myself chewing tobacco like others do gum.
Damn, speakin of Julesnus, I need to order more snus...

I used to think I liked chew more than dip.... but now, I don't know. I think a lot of it is experience, the more I use dip, the more better I am with it. I think this Copenhagen Straight is just awesome. I also like chew like Red Man loose leaf.

I can't wait to try the Copenhagen Straight. I ordered it along with Whiskey Blend and Smooth Hickory to try. I haven't seen any of those locally. Also trying Grizzly 1900 for the first time.

I've loved Beachnut, Levi, Apple Jack, Red Man chews. The amount of spit was what I couldn't take but being outside for the day there's not much better than goin' through the better part of a half pound of the stuff. When I dipped I was Skoal straight all the way until it got expensive then went to Grizzly straight. Switched to snus and now dip/chew are occasional things. Not even sure if you can freeze dip and maintain quality. I might try though unless I hear it's not a good idea...I just ordered five or six cans and probably wouldn't use it all for months. I've never had a can of dip in my house for more than 48 hours really so I never had the occasion to store any.

I Used to keep copenhagen snuff in the freezer all the time when I'd buy it buy the roll when I found a really fresh bunch out there. Recently when I use dip I prolly won't go thru it fast so I buy a tin or 2 at a time, Since this is the case I try to treat it like snus, meaning I keep it in the fridge when not in use. It seems I can keep an opened can fresh for at least a week and have kept them for the better part of 3. Hope that helps WK..... Unopened cans I put in the fridge, pretty sure they will las for 6 months or better this way, especially if it is not copenhagen. The fiberboard leaves a lot to be desired in keeping things fresh, that being said I thionk it has a lot to do with it being so good. The conwood rep lamented as such. He was an ex copenhagen guy himself, but who can blame a guy for using The Grizz when his minivan was chock full o the stuff. Man what a job....

'A minivan full of grizzly' would be a cool name for a band.

I like the fiberboard, and my personal experience is, I've had more dried plastic cans than those. I also use dip and chew faster than snus. Since I normally usually use 4 snus portions a day at work, and when I go out shopping, and with coffee in the mornings, one can lasts me about a week. But I empty dip cans in about 3 days. I wish I could empty my nasal snuff cans, I'm on the verge of quitting nasal snuff, I was snuffing some Wilsons Aniseed Extra at work yesterday, I think only 3 times, yet I was stopped up all day and night. I called in to work today, as we have a rotting floor, when we removed an old washing machine, and trying to "fix" it before the new machine comes tomorrow.

I picked up a pouch of Red Man Golden Blend this afternoon.

Since I've decided to cut out the dip I need something to spit while I'm cutting grass on the weekends.

Wow, this stuff is really sweet. Overly sweet really. Once it starts juicing, it tastes literally like I've got a mouth full of honey.

Yeah, with use though, it seems less sweet.
I'm still dipping, got some Grizzly Straight in now.... but I haven't chewed in... maybe over a month?
Hmmm, some Levi is sounding good, or maybe some Stokers? I still haven't tried that Red Man with the black wrapper, or that Levi Select.... I think I'll be near a T-store too, if we hit this certain Chinese buffet we had planned to.

Hey Tom, do you keep your chew in the fridge or not?

I picked up a pouch on the way to work and while there, I just threw it in the bag I keep my snus in and put it in the fridge. Now that I'm home, I just threw the pouch in the drawer of the computer desk.
