Just finished up a can of Timberwolf Long Cut Natural. Not as much flavor as fine cut, but when I spit there is hardly any tobacco to be seen, which is good because it means it staying where it should to deliver more nicotine goodness.
Currently on a can of RedMan Long Cut Straight. Haven't had straight in years. Now I remember why, just not my flavor. To me straight tobacco kind of has a root-beer/Pepto-Bismol taste.

I just opened my first can of Redman Straight Long Cut. I wanted to try it since, like Timber Wolf, it's made by Pinkerton and has lower TSNA levels.
It's not too bad. You're right about the root beer flavor. Now that you mention it, I can taste it exactly.
I don't like Wintergreen or Fine Cut, so the Straight LC is really all they have that I wanted to try. I wish they would add some flavors.
Though it will make a nice addition to my Timber Wolf Peach and Mint rotation.

Glad someone else picked up on that. That's the reason I don't like root-beer. I always thought it tasted like Pepto in a way. People think I'm crazy when I tell them that. Taste is a very interesting thing. It's not consistent from person to person.
EDIT: Actually, I just went and opened my empty can of straight, took a big whiff, and wouldn't you know it...it even smells like Pepto-Bismol to me.
The Indian smoke shop just down the road finally got some RedMan plug tobacco in. They've been out of it for a couple of months now. Really good stuff. I think I like it better than Levi Garrett plug.
