Spit or swallow?

For the first time I got a pack of chew (Red Man).

Swedish snus: Swallow
American snus: Spit
Tobacco chew:?

Do you guys spit or swallow the juices?

I always end up spitting, don't really see any benefit in having the juices in my stomach. And had bad experience with Camel's Snus where my stomach felt like it was on fire and just overal sick feeling. Interesting enough though, I did not find the same case with some accidental swallowing of Grizzly's dip. Maybe it has something to do with the general flavor or something, but meh.

Spit. Loose leaf chew makes a lot of spit, I think you'd feel sick if you didn't spit.
When you say American Snus, do you mean the "SNUS", like Camel? Or the dip, like Copenhagen? If the "SNUS", then you don't have to spit. But dip, yes, I'd recommend to spit.

I tried the Camel stuff once (Camel frosted I think), and I will never do that again. Very disappointing.
I think I didn't spit - but with Copenhagen I spit ;-)

Yes, chewing tobacco needs to be spit.

While everyone has given you sound advice thus far.............technically the question of swallowing American dip or chew depends on 3 factors

1. Do you have a video camera

2. Is it on

3. Will you post the clip

When American smokeless tobacco is manufactured, it gets fermented during the process to give it a unique flavor. This means the tobacco has contains smoke, which is very irritating to the throat and digestive tract. I would spit anything that doesn't have "snus" on the packaging.
