    Timber Wolf Fine Cut Natural

The first lower priced dip I really enjoyed after twenty-five years of dipping Copenhagen. Timber Wolf has a clean yet bold taste, and if it were not for the price could easily be mistaken for a premium moist snuff. Timber Wolf is also very soft of the gums/lip. Does not cause the mouth burn (or heartburn) that some other brands do.

The cans are plastic but very well-made. They seem to seal well and hold in the moisture, keeping the snuff fresh. The only aggravating thing about the cans now are the obscene warning labels that recently have been added to all American moist snuff products.

I prefer the fine cut moist snuffs to the long cut, but the long cuts made by Pinkerton are very good. Timber Wolf fine cut natural is woth the couple of bucks you'll pay to purchase it, so if you want to try a good American moist snuff product, I would highly recommend this!

I tried to get a long cut version of this, but the store didn't have it. I'll get some eventually. I just don't do well with fine cut.

I miss some good Timber Wolf. Before switching to snus, the straight long cut was my dip of choice. And your tastes may vary, but the long cut Peach is actually much better than you might think, IMO!

I tried the Peach Long Cut the other day as well as the Apple. I actually like both of them even though I've not been a big fan of flavored dips/snus. Twolf seems to have a good mix of flavorings and tobacco. I really liked the smell of the Peach too!

          First Impressions:

Very fine & soft cut - comfortable on gums (The fiberglass must be cut fine enough not to be too abrasive).

Nice solid but smooth & pure tobacco flavor (Reminds me a little of Copenhagen)

Solid plastic - airtight tin BUT no discernible 'made date' or 'best by...'

Noticing I'm spitting out a lot of the snuff in my towel lined cup after 10 or so minutes.

I'm really starting to hate spitting after finally getting away from this after 30+ years from Copenhagen to Snus so this likely won't be enough to make me go back to dipping regularly but a nice change-up I suppose from time to time.

Edit: Just took it out after about 20 min.s in. No problem(s) really but wanted to drink my coffee and I am not doing that with this shit in my mouth as compared to snus.

I find with a dip in, to drink, I use a straw, I'd do this with los snus too. But for me, fine cut was hard to contain, and I spit out about half my dip. I only use long cut now.

Yea the funneh thing is, I had dipped Copenhagen for 30+ years prior to Oct, 2009 and this never bothered me now it does. Guess the snus has won out....

I agree about spitting. I was mowing my lawn the other day and decided to take a dip instead of snus. Didn't realize what a pain spitting had been while doing stuff like that. Snus has made life a lot easier when it comes to not having to worry about where my spit cup is or where I'm going to spit, etc. Many times I forget that I even have snus in my mought, especially if it is los which conforms to the contours of my mouth easier than portions.

The T-Wolf fine cut is very soft. When you dip your fingers into it it's almost like powder or sawdust soft. Very nice. I decided to go with Redman Fine Cut Natural. Same company. Same price. I think the flavor is a little better and they come with tin lids instead of plastic.

HaHa! Yeah, as if you wasn't going through enough hell just trying to find the Timberwolf at your local stores. Now you have another mission to undertake. Your headbanging computer guy signature is now more appropriate than ever

Yea so I walked to Giant Eagle on my lunch break and low and behold all I could find was the RedMan Snuff in the solid brown or whatever can. I knew it wasn't the right one so once again, I passed....

How is the pricing of this? Is it similar to the pricing on GetSnus?

I think this might be my first attempt at dip. lol.

                            Yes.

And try some dip already, stop worrying so much. Stress gives you butt cancer and heart disease. FACT.

It's it's your FIRST attempt at dip, I would HIGHLY recommend not getting Fine Cut. Get LONG CUT, it's so much easier to control.
