I've had it on for over half an hour and I hardly got much in my cup.
I don't think I unconsciously swallowed. Unless I am used to the snus
    and forgot.

I don't have an answer to this question but I enjoy how awkwardly it is phrased.

That's what used to happen to me with SNUS.

The more you use SNUS/DIP you'll get the saliva rolling down your chin. LoL

Sometimes I don't even pull a portion out of the can and my entire mouth is full of salive, believe me.

          TIP! Make sure to eat
          before snusing or dipping
          everytime. Your saliva glands
          won't work properly otherwise.

It's just like smoking in the morning
          10 cigarattes without drinking coffee
Your mouth gets drier and drier with
          every cigarette.

There could be many factors in this.

It happens to me, but only rarely. I have a friend who can dip all day and barely produce any spittle. I think that's the idea, really. I think you'd know pretty quickly if you had been swallowing the dip juice. That stuff tears my stomach up. I'm guessing that you weren't drinking anything or speaking much w/ that dip in. If I just sit there and type or read or whatever the dip always lasts way longer. When I focus on it and squeeze it or talk it makes for more juice...then I only want more juice to flood my mouth with flavor. The same sort of thing happens with snus though to a lesser degree. I think that has everything to do with placement though. Maybe you're just getting used to it. When I switched from dip to snus I got tons of juice, but then again I wanted it. Now I would rather not have much or any at all. I've lower decked los and spit the juice but it was more muscle memory than anything else...I did swallow some spit then with no problems but I preferred to spit. Also, if you're not totally hydrated this could happen with the no spitting thing. YMMV. My guess is that you probably weren't fixated on the dip at the time. Again, that's probably how it should be. Makes the can last longer.

I think you might just be a bit dehydrated. Drink a bunch of water before, and maybe a little inbetween, yeah, drinking with dip in can be hard, but it's doable.

When I dip I just put my tongue over the dip and drink Yupp, it's doable indeed.

Warning: does not always apply to fine cut dip or grizzly wintergreen.
