    Craving Dip

    I'm out of Dip...

I've got a few cans left of straight Skoal and Copenhagen that I really don't like and SNUFF that's way too finely cut...

I mean I think dip is a lot more addictive than snus ... probably because it's tastier to some extent.

I think oral toabacco is more addictive than smoking and nasal snuff. I was all geared up to quit oral tobacco this new year, but I am having jonesin like a smack addict. I've never used this much nasal snuff in the last few days, or puffed my e-cig as much. Then I was fantasizing about snus, and was possessed to click on getsnus and make an order. I am vowing to not use dip... oh I won't even say it.

When you use the moist snuff, it is fine cut, I had to put it right in the front to keep it in place. And even if you don't like Skoal Straight, if you want some dip bad enough, you'll use it.

I think for me, bordom, having become unemployed recently, and cold weather, so I am in the house all the time, and I really miss that morning snus with coffee.

    Someone call Intervention.

Yes... I've had a few pinches.... but I can't stand it...

I'll go with Cope SNUFF for a while ... my order is already shipped. :-)

I think it's kinda funny... Here we are in America trying to get off of dip and trying to get our local tobacco shops to carry snus and here you are in Romania trying to get the dip we are trying to get away from and you think it's tastier... Gotta see the Irony in that....

I would like to try the Kodiak mint and Grizzly natural. Just crave what I have not tried yet.

Yeah, you don't want to take giant lippers of snuff (at least I don't). It is much better to use it like snus, a gram or gram and a half at a time. But it is kind of messy regardless.

This thread makes no sense to me

              I agree with jagmanss

except I would use a different term than irony.

Hell yes dip is more addictive......................there is more in dip to addict you.

              Anyway.........to each his own
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Dip is definitely more addictive, but I do love my cope snuff. It is fine cut but after a can or two it gets easier and the taste is amazing

UGH I have been out of snus for 3 days now. I'm just broke and the snus is 30 miles away. So I have purchased Copenhagen. I won't be going back to my cigarette habit that took me 22 years to break. I had forgotten how ROUGH dip is on your gums. Tastes pretty damn good though. I prefer Grizzly Natural though more salt and a lil rougher cut. You can bet I'll be driving my ass to Nashville Friday for that delicious General Original Portion.

A few canker sores in my mouth let me know that dip isn't for me.

As much as I've enjoyed the taste, I had to let it go.

                      You've got cancer?

I don't think everyone in the US is trying to get off it.. I've seen like thousands of videos on youtube, aparrently there are quite a few in US still enjoying dipping... even if it's so dangerous .... I've said it before.... I will have to give up oral tobacco some day.... won't go with it for like 30 years...

Momentarily being able to work from home, and manage my businesses online allows me to dip ... all day pretty much... or snus...

But it's really not a "social" thing for me ... because I look funny =))

The reason for this thread was simply because I don't crave snus as much as I do for dip..... I don't know the exact reason.... quite ironic but not that much ... I'm quite curious to see if everyone gets so addicted to dip.... and seemingly .. the answer is YES .. :P

And yeah dip is a lot tastier as well...

Well God Bless you Precious. I dug on the stuff for years so I know what you're craving. I don't think I saw how it was tearing my gums up for years of using about a can every day and a half or two days. It was probably mostly the size of the dip I took more than anything else which is one of the things I liked about snus and still do...at least in portion form it's better regulated. Keep practicing with the fine cuts and take smaller dips. It gets very easy to keep it all together once you get the technique down.

                          Thanks,

Mmmm one can a day is huge ... I only consume a can every 3 - 4 days .. roughly....

precious007, although I have quit all of it, now, I must say that I was also enjoying the dip much more than the snus. The flavor is fuller and richer.

Also, I am seeing about three major reasons why people are using oral tobacco. 1) As an aid to stop smoking; 2) For the nicotine "kick", i.e., to get high; 3) For the flavor(s). Thus, a big disconnect between what makes sense to one person or another. Personally, the biggest attraction to me was the flavor, and dip gave me the most flavor.

Although it was a New Year resolution for me to quit, Dec 21 was actually my last day. So, today is my 17th day without tobacco. I mentioned the possibility of quitting several times in the forums over the past few months. My major reason? A nagging wife. I still love the stuff, but you have to go along to get along.
