Snusers who dip...?

I got some Bandits last night for a comparison I did between Bandits and Skoal "Snus". I'm thinking about trying some dip too. Yes, I know it's not safer. But the occasional use might be fun for variety sakes.

I may just try whatever they have pouched.

But I do loose snus a lot so I may see how well an Icetool does with dip too.

Tools don't work too good with long-cut dips I've found.

I've never tried pouched dip so I'd be curious to hear your opinion on them. I'd imagine that you'd still have to spit unless you could upper lip them. I'd try that but I wouldn't have high expectations other than a mother of a burn.

I've only been using smokeless tobacco for a few months and I found dip to be very seductive. I love the taste and the kick, and when I'm really aching for some nicotine I start thinking getting a nice fat pinch of dip in my lip. Unfortunately, something in it does a real number on my mouth and I wake up at night with a totally dry mouth and throat if I do more than a tiny dip now and again.

Last weekend I tried upper decking and gutting smaller pinches of dip and it went well, but I still had some dry mouth issues at night. I guess I'm just not cut out for dip. Maybe my dip sensitivity is a good thing, kind of like some experiences I had with heroin many years ago where I couldn't manage to keep from puking every time I tried it, so I stop trying.

I got a couple of cans of Thunder los in my last order and for me it has most of the good effects of dip without the downside so far.

Don't use the Icetool with dip (although it may work better with a fine cut like Copenhagen). Long cut dip basically sticks together on its own; I would say the cut acts kind of like Velcro. Just pack the tin and pinch out a good dip with your thumb and index finger by pressing the material against the side of the tin at the same time you pinch. I guess this is kind of like a mini-bake, but it worked well for me for years. I love the different way that dip hits you with nic. Hard to explain, its just different and a bit more intense at first but tapers off much more quickly than snus.

Oh, and don't be afraid to try wintergreen dips. Kodiak Wintergreen (or Grizzly if I can't find it) is my favorite. I lothe wintergreen snus, but love the flavor in dip - goes great with the sugar content. Dip is at its best when you really get the juices flowing through it, so this aspect is a little different than how you would want to use los. With dip I find myself pushing saliva down into it and then sucking it out for maximum effect.

I also wouldn't recommend upper decking dip. It just doesn't make sense based on how the product is designed. You will get much more enjoyment by placing a pinch on the lower corner. Only dip middle bottom if you want to get lots of material all over your mouth quickly - it just spreads left and right when it starts getting wet.

Don't use an icetool for dip. Just grab a pinch and stuff it in you lip. Dip is much easier to do than snus so you should have no trouble (just make sure to spit not swallow, the juices are not designed to be swallowed like snus).

Every so often I'll pick up a can of dip, but I've never used pouches. I usually go with Skoal wintergreen, but I recently felt daring and tried their berry blend. It was really sweet, but overall it's pretty good if you want a fruity flavor.

I've had the Skoal "Snus" and those portions are just too damn big to fit comfortably in my upper lip. I wonder, are the dip pouches the same size as the snus portions?

I miss those times when I could order Skoal & Cope online, and get the package right on my doorstep here in Norway. Skoal Apple & Peach was my favorites... Now I "snus" offroad long cut WG :-)
Not the same at all... wish I could have that sweet taste of Cope again. Get this... American snus is not allowed to import / sell in Norway. I hate this stupid country.

Here in america we want snus and in scandinavia you want dip. Lol...If you really want some dip, we could trade snus for dip or something...tobacco tax in illinois is pretty low (;

Yeah I know, it's pretty funny actually.
Do they still sell Skoal in rolls of 10? Or is it 5 now? I'd be happy to trade 10cans of snus for 5cans of dip (/Me crazy I know) ;-)
