I live in the south now, but when in Jersey I knew people who dipped there. It was a bit rarer though than in NC.

Lots of people who dip outside the states, also where you wouldn't expect it - like in the middle east.

So many people dip around here that some stores keep it refrigerated.

I grew up in Oregon, and tons of people dipped up there. I've even seen people dipping here in China, but honestly, its rare here.

I dip from time to time, I can vaguely remember it being sold here in the UK in some shape or form, Skoal Bandits I do remember (don't know why but I deffo remember seeing them on sale here in the early 90s). I keep a few tins in the freezer for when I just feel like something different, before I found out Northerner sold it I used to ask people who were going to the states to bring be back a few logs (usually Copenhagen Long Cut and Skoal Peach or Apple, yes I am man enough to admit I like them dammit!).

Honestly, Skoal cherry is pretty good once in a while. You should grab a can of it online if you like flavoured dips.

From what I hear the cherry is a bit like cough syrup, but giving 1 can a go wouldn't hurt, I do find cherry flavoured stuff is usually too sweet for me. I find Skoal Peach tastes like the straight but with a hint of peach, cope straight is very very sweet though.

Have you ever had a cherry slurpee? I think that Skoal cherry tastes just like a cherry slurpee or cherry starbursts. It's quite a sweet dip, but I always thought it was nice once in a while. A buddy of mine used to buy 2 cans of Grizzly mint & mix in 1 can of Skoal cherry once in a while. It was pretty darn good. Is dip easy for you to get over in the UK?

I have had some gargantuan slushie drink in the states, red, blue, it made me shake atlot lol. I have heard of people mixing them, same as mixing snuff up to vreate new and interesting snuff, dholakia swish choc and toque peanut butter!!! Simply epic!

No not so easy to get, have to order from Northerner or ask people to send it, so realistically 5 cans at a time from Northerner, but if PP's menthod was deployed endless logs would get through lol. Mr Snuff sells it but again comes from the US and costs a fortune, at least Northerner is quite cheap, about £2.50 a can or less for dip.

I will have this Skoal cherry and berry blends for the first time soon. Looking forward to it. So far i had the citrus blend which was damn good and the peach one which was... well.... not damn good. From the citrus alone i guess i could understand why people like Skoal so much, the flavour was intense and very good, same for the cut and mouth feeling and everything.

For dip and chew i am in the lucky position to have a few contacts into the states i made on a snuff board and on a now deceased chew/dip
forum. So i can avoid german border/tax control and get decent prices. Praise the internet ;-)

Some Skoal and Copenhagen were at some point in the 80s or 90s available in UK, but they did but a ban on it soon enought.
