My first time story plus I still dont know how to dip..

Me and my brother visited the US a while back, New York to be precise, My main goal was to find any Snus or "dip" (at the time i didnt know that you called it dip) and try as much as i could since everything besides chew and icelandic tobacco is illegal. We didnt really find alot of snus only the American Camel and some General, I visited a shop called The tobacco shop had a little pipe on the sign, All shops we went to we saw Skoal and Copen, and every clerk we talked to told us that they were Chewing tobacco, Me and my brother had only seen Grizzly with our own eyes in iceland so that was what we looked for on the american side and ofcourse we listened to the clerks, they were american afterall they should know better about the "dip" than us. So after a long search we didnt find this so called dip (that's what we thought) and about to give up i decided to try this chewing tobacco. So we bought a green can of Skoal and Copen "Snuff" i found it strange that it had snuff on the front since it was chewing tobacco according to the store clerks, but i didnt really think about it then, In my bravery I grabbed a huge pinch of Copenhagen and shoved it in my mouth and started chewing, because that was what i thought you should do to a -->chewing<-- tobacco apparantly you dont do that, and specially not to dip. My brother laughing so hard he couldnt breath and me screaming like a loony on the streets of NY obviously i had done something wrong. Now when we came back to iceland i had a Copenhagen Long Cut unopened, And no matter HOW HARD i try i just cant grab it with my fingers and shove it under my lip/cheek, it just falls out every where ---- So How on earth Do you dip?

Take a big old wad of it in between your thumb and index finger. Place it in your lower lip, just about straight below where you would place snus or neftóbak. Spit as needed, and toss it when you're finished with it.

Take a small pinch between two or three fingers (no need to bake like snus), shake the pris a couple of times so the excess tobacco will fall down into the can. Place it in your lower gum and enjoy.

You can probably use it like Swedish snus also. It might upset your stomach if you swallow it, but maybe not. It seems like everyone is different in that regard.

hahaha Why thank you, And just recently i searched some tutorials and tried going by them nothing worked things just kept falling from my fingers.. so i saw some post about expiration dates, I thought to myself what is this Expiration date.... since our icelandic "dip" has no date nor Info about what is in it i had never heard of this before, Needless to say i checked that bottom of the can and saw that my Dip had expired a year ago..

dip-snuff-chew- the stuff in a CAN in the USA- you use your thumb and pointer finger. Pinch a little against the inside of the can wall (little less than a mini snus portion size) to compact it, and the usual place to put it is the bottom lip, right in the very front of your bottom teeth. Use tongue to pack it down softly, and enjoy. Do not swallow spit! Do not chew it! Long cut is easier to use and discard, and doesnt float around in you mouth as much.
