    Klondike dip?

Hi everyone, been a long time since I've been on here.

So anyways I've been hearing that Klondike is supposed to be like traditional long cut dip, but manufactured like snus. While most snusers are probably former smokers, I know Snusdog and I are both former dippers. And he mentioned a few times that there is something distinctive about dip besides nicotine that keeps you craving it after making the switch, which I can personally vouch for. I've been dip-free for a few months (woo hoo!) but this craving is driving me nuts. There is a different taste and mouth-feel from dip that my lip is missing... I tried switching to Timberwolf due to the lower TSNA counts, but "low TSNA dip" isn't safe enough for me, I need the peace of mind and sanity knowing I won't get cancer.

Anyway, is Klondike as safe as snusing, and how close is it to actual dip? I've been really interested in trying it. I've heard of this brand before, but it just recently started appearing in stores around me.

They started Klondike as a snus but now it is marketed as dip (my guess is that it is the exact same product). There was a report I believe at snuscentral about Klondike and the fact they never steam pasteurized the stuff but used some other fishy method. The whole company, process just sounds shady to me.

I would also like to find out more about this operation and production process but cannot find anything as of recent.

Yea like truthwolf said............I would not put too much hope in Klondike......They backed way off the plans to use snus production methods and would never provide a straight answer on what they were doing.

Try some Odens Extreme (for the cravings and flavor) and Knox for the feel

Keep us up to date on what you find and glad to see you back posting!

i bought a can of Klondike once. i put some in my mouth. kept it in for about a minute, spit it out and threw the can away. i was hoping it would turn out to be good. i never liked dip but i would say it was worse than dip to me.

Thanks for the brand recommendations! I actually just received an order today for a roll of Thunder Frosted Loose, and I have to say, I'm quite pleased with it. It "packs" well like dip and stays together, and it's extremely minty, more so than any mint dip I've ever had (sure beats the hell out of Husky lol). I think I can honestly say after trying this stuff, I will NEVER go back to dip again. It's too bad about Klondike....I would have liked to try it but I agree, what they are doing sounds really shady...

Turns out the manufacturer of Thunder also makes an Offroad Long Cut American Wintergreen snus....I'll have to add a couple of cans of that to my next order along with the brands you suggested.

Just opened my first can of dip (Klondike Wintergreen). It's ok but i don't like spitting dries my throat too much. But like everyone knows you just have to try any smokeless tobacco even once in your life. I have Copenhagen LC and Grizzly Wintergreen LC on the way to try also but i think after that it's just back to snusing.
