    Never tried dip

I have always wanted to try dip and now that I'm 18 I can go and buy some. Seance I'm new I don't know what to get. I have heard to go for the pouches 1st, but have not got any good recommendations. If anyone has any recommendations for a new comer that would be great.

    Hey, welcome to SnusOn!

I'd recommend going for Skoal and Grizzly Long Cut (Mint and Wintergreen)

    You'll love them.....

and uhmmm ....... Stoker's Chew (Apple and Peach are some of the best)

I love pretty much all dip apart from Copenhagen Snuff (it's kinda hard to keep it packed well)

If you are new then the only advice I can give you is long cut. You will find it much easier to handle at first.

I am some what new to it myself and dip here and there, mostly to help my snus stash last longer. In the south all forms of oral tobacco but twists and snus are readily and cheaply available everywhere.

      Personal favorites...

Redman Straight Long Cut has been my go to
Copenhagen Natural Extra Long Cut is very good as well

Well, I have no experience with dip, but I guess my first advice will be; don't try it. I suppose you don't smoke, so why risk getting a nicotine addiction?

If you are a smoker - dip is way better than smoking, and you should change to smokeless tobacco to quit the cigs. But if you're not addicted to nicotine, I would strongly advise you not to play with the fire. Almost everyone regrets starting in the first place, and once you're hooked, you're basically hooked for the rest of the life. Even if you quit, you will have to live with the cravings.

Copenhagen LC, Copenhagen Wintergreen and Grizzly Wintergreen are three brands which I've heard are the best.

It's not smoking, but it is a nicotine addition and the spitting is irritating. I'd say try Griz WG, Skoal Citrus, and Griz 1900. Lots of people like the sweet, flavored Skoal stuff too.

Regarding nicotine, "It's easier to quit eating than it is to quit smoking." This is true. Very true.

Simple answer is don't bother trying it if you don't already smoke. As mentioned, the nic addiction aint worth it, will jsut end up costing you far too much money in the long term.

Also if you do try it, don't start with grizzly, it will blow your head off as it is quite strong. Although it may put you off so pros and cons. However if YOU do still want to try it, then the fruity skoals are easy to use as is silver creek or timberwolf.
