I don't dip, and I'm not especially interested in bi-packaged tobacco, but wouldn't this be a packaging nightmare? Which 2 flavors would you package together? With Skoal especially, they have a ton of different flavors, and picking any two has a good chance of offending someone. It seems like a solution in search of a problem to me. It's easy to just buy 2 tins, and modify one of them to hold two products if desired.
Most likely it would be just traditional flavors to start off with - Mint, Wintergreen and Straight - The three most commonly dipped flavors - that way combinations would not be difficult to make - its just three variations of the flavors.

As always, if anyone has any recommendations as to what flavors theyd like to see mixed together please feel free to provide your input...As mentioned, hopefully we can start off with the traditional flavors but the younger demographics (statistics show) enjoy the more untraditional flavors (fruity) so if there is a special mixture you'd like to see for example (peaches n' cream - peach and vanilla) let us know. Thanks. http://questionpro.com/t/AIodpZNcHF
Perhaps you should pitch this idea to snus makers also
im sure im not the only one that would love for example 1/2 tin of General white 1/2 tin of General White strong or 1/2 Skruf Tranbar 1/2 Skruf Stark or 1/2 Jaks Classic Strong 1/2 Jaks Flader and lets not forget 1/2 Odens 69 1/2 Odens Extreme
If it were me and this were my product………I think I would present this to the tobacco companies as a marketing device……rather than a product line.
Thus let’s say Skoal has released two new berry flavored dips……..and let’s say after the initial launch has simmered down they want to increase sales with a round two of promotion……put each of the flavors in the double can and sell it.
People who might not spring big bucks for two cans of something they might not like……..may on a whim or a long trip……..think what the hell….I can try both for the price of one can…..If they like it they come back to it….if not they try the next double release when it comes out.
The problem I see on the production end of things is the cross pollination factor………..if you take a Skoal Bandit Natural and put it in a tin that has had wintergreen or mint in it………the Natural Bandit will absorb those flavors……………
However…..if this patented can that ya’ll have got eliminates that cross pollination then I think you may be barking up the wrong tree with how you are marketing it.
Most dippers have one go to brand and they tend not to deviate from it very much.
However, snus users are right the opposite…………….most have several brands and tins and flavors going at once (just take a look at the “what is in your mouth” thread to see the variety most use).
A tin that could carry more than one type of snus and keep the flavors from cross pollinating would be something a lot of folks would use (they might use it to carry a couple of types to the office or to run errands….go for an afternoon of fishing….etc…)
You might consider marketing the tin itself………..and forget Big Tobacco….or try marketing it to one of the smaller snus companies to start with

I fully agree that the flavor melding would likely screw up things too much as SnusDog stated and it seems more like a initial impulse buy for a user who probably will not do it again.
Reminds me of the ice cream with three flavors.. but the majority of people usually end up purchasing one flavor.
Thanks for the input. The tobacco companies seem interested in the concept, and its gaining momentum so its something thats worth pursuing. Everyone please help by taking the survey. Thank you.

I gotta agree with Snusdog with the snus thing. Imagine having lös and portions in the same can? Or white portions and originals? 8mgs and extra sterks? Would be great if you ask me.
Great well lets keep the forum moving and keep taking the survey. Were approaching 100 complete. Lets get some momentum on this topic and get some conclusive evidence to present to the tobacco companies!
Someone is doing some market research. I don't know who is behind it but being a snus user it's nice to see General being included as one of the main...
