    Newbie help please

Hey guys. Very new to dip. Very old to snus. So I bought a tin of Grizzy LC a while back, like 2 months minimum back to be honest. I opened the tin then and put some it but I realized that my mouth was just too dry at the time so I spat it out. I stored the tin in my night stand since then and to my surprise, I opened it up and it was still a little moist. So I put a pinch in because I haven't used any tobacco in 2+ months so I figured it'd be a sure thing that I'd feel it easy. Well I felt it for about 3 minutes and then it went away. I was wondering if the fact that it's been opened for so long might have something to do with it? Or the fact that I might not have put enough in? I don't really want to waste my time on this tin if it's a dud ya know? Any help would be awesome, thanks guys.

When i dipped i found if I left a can open for like 4-5 days it would get really dried out and wouldn't last at all. At 2 months open I'm pretty sure its just saw dust IMO

Pop a little bit of orange peel in the can. It'll suck out some of the moisture from the peel and help rehydrate the dip.

Or get a new can. Its Grizzly its cheap. Local gas station had a deal 2.95 for 1 can or 5 cans for 5.95. thats dirt cheap.

The only dip I've experienced that dries out so quickly is Cope snuff or Longcut in the old fiberboard cans....never had that trouble with the Cope natural in the plastic tin though, nor with Grizzly or anything flavored. An opened tin of Cope will dry out within three or so days, then it gets pretty nasty.

Grizzly seems to have much tighter fitting lids, and the fact that it's even more laden with chemicals than Cope probably helps it retain its moisture. I can have an open tin of Grizzly WG for a week without trouble.

Only dip on occasion though, and now that I've got the hang of lös more, even my random cravings are subsiding. Probably purchase a tin every three months.
