    Copenhagen Pouches

I gave up on trying to obtain actual snus, as it was becoming a major hassle and local stores don't carry much of a variety.

I also don't use much of anything, anymore, but sometimes the mood really strikes me. So, a few weeks ago, on a long driving trip alone, I bought a can of Skoal Bandits Wintergreen. They were pretty good, so yesterday I bought a can of Copenhagen Pouches Mint. Man, they are strong! So far, every one is knocking me on my butt.

Do the pouches have a reputation of being stronger than Bandits? Or is it Copenhagen vs Skoal? They don't seem to be appreciably larger, just much mor concentrated, both in flavor and kick. Your comments on this will be appreciated.

I can't tell you the last time I had a Skoal Bandit but I had a Copenhagen pouch not too long ago and don't remember it being unusually strong. It may be the flavoring they are using is getting to you. Try another flavor (like the traditional regular ol flavor of Copenhagen) and see how you respond to that.

Regardless, you can always just stick to bandits

Let us know what you find

Welcome ratcheer. Where are you located where you can't get snus?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

@snusdog, thanks for your reply. Ok, I'll probably get used to them. I haven't used hardly any tobacco in the past year or two. The Mint flavor tastes very nice, but yes, I love plain tobacco, too. I was looking for the Apple and Berry flavors too, but either the store didn't have them or the clerk didn't look very hard for them.

@PremiumParrots, I'm in the Birmingham, AL area, where dip is king. I have found a couple of premium cigar stores that carry just a couple of flavors of General snus. When I gave up on snus, it was a few years ago when everyone was talking about never receiving their shipments, receiving damaged or pilfered shipments, or having their shipments impounded for additional taxation. I'm really nor sure what the current status of all that is. I guess I could just gamble and try a Northerner shipment.

        Thanks,
        Tim
