Lost taste for or enjoyment of dip

I think I don't care for American dip anymore. I used to dip regularly years ago, but I don't think I was a dip head like many people are that love it. I'd quit tobacco and nicotine for a long time, but recently decided to revisit it. Actually I heard about these tobacco and nicotine free dip and was curious. But while the taste was not bad, these have such a sharp lingering aftersmell, I can't use them in the house, and the wife complained, and I have to agree, it's not pleasant. So I haven't used them in a while. So I bought some real dip, and after getting sick on it, I tried a smaller amount the next day. It was better and I didn't OD on the nic, and this Cougar Straight Long Cut doesn't stink up the house, I've used it maybe 4 days and the wife never noticed. But I'm thinking I'm not enjoying this. I know I'm still new in my revisit, and maybe I'll change my mind, but my thought right now, is I'm not liking it. Straight used to be my favorite flavor along with natural, but it's the act of having this lump of tobacco in my mouth, and spitting in a cup that just isn't appealing to me, and then spitting the lump out in the trash, rinsing my mouth out and spitting it in the toilet, and pouring my spit cup in the toilet and rinsing it out. It's all kinda gross and messy. I do get a buzz off it, but is it worth the mess? And this Straight isn't even tasting good like I remember it from before. What I'm really missing is some real Scandinavian portion snus. I'm not sure what the best way to get this now. I hear shipping is like $30. I do like General Original portion, and can get that in the USA from Northern. I think I like these Nicotine pouches. I bought a can of Juice Head 6 last week or so. And it's not bad. But sometimes I think I find it uncomfortable with a pouch in my upper lip, but I do like it better than the loose tobacco in my cheek. I was out today and bought a can of On 8 Cinnamon. I felt 6 was good, but all On had was 2, 4, and 8, at the store. I'll try it tomorrow morning with coffee. I think I'm just missing the old snus days. My life was different then in all ways too. With these nicotine pouches, I don't feel much desire to dip at all, I just might not.

I threw my nicotine pouches away. And I've been doing one dip a day. I don't know if or how long I'll keep with it. I've been doing one dip a day. I'm on the fence. Trying to find something I really like.

I do not like the taste of dip anymore myself. I’ve gone back a few times and could barely stand it, even got a free tin of Copenhagen Snuff and couldn’t do it.

The only oral tobacco I use is snus (with the extremely rare NP when necessary).

Ordering from Sweden isn’t that bad. If you do three rolls, the shipping works out to not be so bad and works out cheaper per tin than anything you can buy here (well at least in Florida…tobacco is expensive in this state) for me that’s around 3.80 a tin…depending on what you get that is. I buy Kronan and Mustang Los mostly, with a couple fancy tins…but it helps that those are my current favorites still in production.

Yeah. I'm leaning more on quitting. I don't want a big order and then quit. I was dipping yesterday thinking to myself I really don't like this, the nic feeling, the loose baccy in my mouth, the spit, and my gum was feeling irritated. I haven't had anything today. I did order some coffee pouches out of curiosity.
