I'm a bit curious about the Camel Dip, but can't find that anywhere. It's not on Northerners site, or lil'Brown, and they have alot.
I'm slightly kicking myself because I threw away my Stokers catalog last time I cleaned up odd and end papers and junk, not sure I'd order, but those tubs are interesting me a bit.
Anyway, this Copensnuff is not bad at all. The taste is really good. I have not had much dip experience to compare, usually I'd get an odd can, and it'd end up in the trash, last one that went that way was Redman Wintergreen.
I was a Copenhagen snob for years. I would not use any other product. Probably because when I started with the stronger snuff there was only Copenhagen and Skoal, and I never could stand the taste of skoal much. So I stuck with Copenhagen for years.
I can rembember walking into a store and asking for a can of Copenhagen a few years back and the lady asked "which one"? This was surprising to me since there had only been one as far as I knew. Needless to say moist snuff choices have grown over the years, some good, some bad.
I'm not a fan of flavored tobacco for the most part. The fruity/candy/wintergreen, etc., flavored stuff has never appealed to me. Even with snus I find that most of the heavily flavored stuff is only good for me for a couple of portions and then I begin wanting the ole tobacco taste again. I like to eat cake and ice cream too, but for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it becomes a bit much. I need my meat!
Another dip (as Liandri mentioned) you may want to try is Timberwolf Fine Cut Natural. This is an inexpensive dip that has a nice clean tobacco flavor. Timberwolf is owned by Swedish Match which may explain the clean taste. I can't think of a better word (clean) to describe their products. From the 10 or so SM products both Snus and Dip that I've tried that seems to be a consistent thing with them.
Anyone down south ever try ' Predator ' dip? Made by Southern Smokeless, same guys who make Revved Up.
Never heard of it. I checked out their web site, looks interesting. I'm going to stop by my local tobacco shop this week and see if they have any or if they can get some for me. I'll let you know 'cause now I'm interested in trying it. 8)
I've used them both many times. Both are "interesting" to say the least.
Here in the Deep South, twist and plug are popular with the old guys.
Red Ox Twist is without a doubt, the strongest (nicotine-wise) tobacco product I've ever tried. It will knock you out if you're not used to it.
Which is somewhat surprising in that there are no pH adjustments made to it, no additives. Its just aged air-dried tobacco. Maybe its just the variety of tobacco used that gives it all the free nicotine.
Pop in a big cut of Red Ox, and get ready to blast off.

That would be great. Let me know and I'll gladly send you a few bucks for their cost and shipping to me.
There is a new Grizzly coming out called Grizzly Snuff 1900, LC. This looks interesting. I want to try some Grizzly, and I will. I am about half done with the can of Copenhagen I have, and I have an opened can of Skoal Classic, I am thinking it's probably not so good to have a bunch of open cans like some do with snus.
Being 42 years old, I have a problem saying words like "grizz", and "natty". I guess I am weird like that.
I do find the moist dip to taste very good, I only do it at home when I get off work after dinner. I must say I don't get a "buzz", not that that is my goal, but my snus usage seems to have made my body tolerant.
Now a year ago, the smallest amount of tobacco in my mouth would have had me reeling and ready to ralf.
I really hope this isn't considered SPAM. I am only intending to help out a fellow snus fan! I have a coupon for a free tin of Cope wintergreen. I don't dip so I was gonna toss it out so if you want it, PM me. It expires at the end of this month.
I got some Grizzly coupons in the mail today. I'm gonna get their new 1900 if the store has it, or Straight Long Cut, and Natural Long Cut.
What cut do you prefer?
I've about finished 3/4 of this can of Copensnuff, I was about to pitch it, but instead threw it in the fridge, not because I don't like it, in fact, I think it tastes great, but that Fine Cut to me, is too hard to control. I can barely talk with it in, and forget about taking a drink. I know I am a dip noob, but that fine cut is hard for me.
And I have an open can of Skoal Classic Long Cut anyway sitting here since Sunday, don't want it to dry out, though a little water would fix that. But I only did the Classic once on Sunday, and immediately it was so much easier, it all stayed in one place, and I didn't salivate as much either, and I had no problem drinking from a soda can.
And what's the deal with packing the can? My buddy was showing me how to do it, whith that finger thumping, and I guess it takes a lot of practice, but I could barelt get a slight tap. Is that really needed anyway?
Hold the tin in your forefinger and thumb and flick your wrist with your hand and fingers relatively loose. Oh can lid facing up to the sky (Or else you might flight your lid off). Its kinda like how old driver instructors used to flap your arms around to see if you were holding unto the steering wheel too hard. Takes getting used to, comes natural after a while and play with it, before you know it you'll smack your middle finger against it and know you got it right.
You usually pack the can to a side of the tin so you're able to slip your fore finger in the space that you created to pull out a cleaner pinch. I do it with snus too when I'm using loose. Because I don't use an icetool or prismaster. But have you ever considered trying fine cut with one of those and putting it your upper lip? Or trying the pouches that way? It is quite the treat indeed!
I prefer long cut because of comfort and control. fine cut was all they had before but I immediately went to LC the second it came out.
Interested in this 1900 now. If I see it around I must try it!
When I got the Klondike fine cuts I did try it with a prismaster in the upperlip, and it worked OK. I have also tried the dip pouches in the upper lip. I think they are a bit on the big side. Tried some Bandits too. It was "ok", but for that, I prefer snus.
When packing the can, my buddy held it between his thumb and middle finger, and it was his loose forefinger(the pointer finger) that he was tapping the can with. Are you explaining it differently, as you said the middle finger would be hitting the can, and to hold it with the thumb and forefinger. I guess there would be different ways.
Used to dip every day, switch to snus 3 years ago, still dip every few months, and on monday I got my usual Skoal apple in peach along with Copenhagen...
God made two kinds of dogs in this world. You are either a lap dog or a scent hound.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Nasal Snuff. I hope you will find this Guide both helpful and informative. I have tried to pool together information and resources that I have collected over my time using snuff so that you can have them all in one place. ...
