Skoal Vanilla? You know that even if they were giving away free cans of this at the gas station I go to on the way home, I would have to pass. Does vanilla really mix with tobacco?

I haven't had this, and am reluctant to try it, but I have read many people like it.

I knew a guy who told me he didn't like wintergreen, berry blend, peach, or straight, but thought Vanilla Skoal was awesome. I haven't tried it yet.

I just got a couple cans of dip in a Northerner order. The idea of dip never really appealed to me, but sometimes I get bored with snuff and snus and feel like I want a smoke, so dip seemed like something different I could throw into the mix. I have a can of vanilla which I haven't opened yet. I've had a couple of pinches from two of the cans (skoal peach and cope straight) and haven't really enjoyed either. I was ready to give up on it all together, but this is making me want to give the vanilla a try before I give up.

I found dip, like snus, and about everything, has a learning, or acclimation curve, meaning, it takes a few tries to get used to it, and sometime to even like it. I didn't like snus when I 1st tried it, and I didn't like dip, or chew, now I like them all. To really fell like I have gained any experience with any dip or chew or snus, I think one has to use a few cans. And like snus, I find my tastes change with dip too. I've been dipping for oh... less than a year, not long really, yet I still feel like a noob at times, and I notice my tastes changing, and my ability to dip(pinch, pack, etc) is still developing.

Thanks for the tips. I'll stick with it at least through the cans I currently have. The hassle of needing to have something to spit into, and the fact that I'll probably need to stick to using it when my girlfriend isn't home (she will give me more shit than it's worth) means I probably won't use much of it even if I do stick with it, but if it means I have some dip every few days or once a week, I'm ok with that.

I buy 10 cans of dip at a time. Vanilla blend and Skoal Citrus are part of my blend.

I keep a Stoker's tub. I mix 5 cans of Copenhagen longcut, 2 cans of Copenhagen Smooth Hickory, 2 cans of Grizzly L.C. natural, and half a can each of the Citrus and Vanilla. I add a jigger of scotch and half a jigger of gin. Shake it like it owes me money.

It lasts me two to three weeks. The left over half cans go in the next batch.

I leave the tub in my bathroom, my wife dares not enter my sanctuary, and fill a dip can as needed to pinch from. I take a fat dip every morning in the shower. During yard work season I go through it faster.

I don't care for the vanilla or the citrus on their own. Too much flavor for me. The citrus is the bomb and I really enjoy it the most mixed no more than 25% into Copenhagen or Grizzly longcut.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I was going through all the flavors that Skoal produced, and ended up coming across the vanilla. My curiosity got the best of me so I ordered a can. I received this can last Friday, put in a big pinch of it and damn did it taste pretty good. Now I need to try and find a local tobacco store that supplies this stuff.
