Anyone know how to make tobacco cuts?

I know there are a lot of people on here making there own snus and am wondering if it would be easy to make tobacco bites instead?

As far as I know the Swedish Match Tobacco Cuts were made in limited numbers to be trialed in Germany. Some UK tobacco vendors would import them from Germany and resell them this is how I was able to purchase a few cans. They were never on general release.

I haven't had the cuts, but I'd be surprised if it weren't twist tobacco cut into bite size pieces.

I have never tried the cuts because they idea of a chewing tobacco that tastes like snus didn't appeal to me.

From what i've heard, the cuts didn't taste much like real snus nor did they have much in common with the traditional chew that the company in the video produces. I've seen a longer documentation about them once on TV. The manufacturing takes months till the product is ready. No doubt that the cuts are similarly difficult to produce.

                  Cheers!

Yes but you do have to admit that they look delicious!

They are cut into pieces, but they are more "folded" than twisted.

I think they look dry. I would have tried them, if they tasted like Piccanell (R.I.P.), which also was quite an unusual and rather dry chew, but absolutely great.

But this "snus-chew-hybrid" called tobacco cuts just didn't appeal to me, at least not enough to place an online order or to search the whole city for them. I've looked and asked for the cuts in a few shops but they weren't available. Besides, nobody in the German forums had anything positive to say about the cuts. The general consensus was that they're usable only as a last resort, in case someone is out of snus.

                        Cheers!

I tried the Picanell but I didn't care for them at all. They were small so you had to use several of them and they tasted like dip.

These look perfect cuts - would eliminate mudslides.
