    Espresso / Bitter chocolate snus

    Hi there,

I've nearly got a recipe together for a loose snus like the title suggests. So dark it's black - made from 100% strong cigar tobacco. It's got a good bit of sweetness under the rich bitter tobacco and it's flavoured with roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate with just a touch of vanilla. It's quite strong in nicotine department (which I know is not the holy grail it's just that this tobacco is so damn strong). It's certainly not an all dayer but I'd suggest it's a kind of luxury digestif after a big dinner or maybe a treat on an early morning with a cup of coffee. Maybe an alternative kind of Christmas snus.

I'm kind of floundering about in the dark here on my own wondering whether that's a sensible thing to make! I wondered if it sounded attractive to anyone else out there.

    Cheers

Don't get too excited ... I'm not there yet - I made 600g of pure plain cigar tobacco snus to have a play with after-flavouring and I don't think I can force those flavours on the snus without getting them in earlier in the process! Might have to bin this lot :-(

Sounds like a flavor I'd buy a roll of.

OK scratch what I said before ... I am very excited about this. I made some tweaks and it's ageing in but I've just had a pris of this stuff and it's unlike anything I've tasted before in a snus.

What's most exciting is that I have over 25lbs of this tobacco left and I was scared it would be of no use except blended in smallish quantities - but this kind of flavouring makes total sense of the full-on bitter dark richness it has.

It's had a fair bit of added sweetness and vanilla to counteract the bitterness but as a result it tastes balanced - the coffee is not in your face but is there and the chocolate is rich and dark.

The only thing against it is that the pris holds together as well as Gellivare did ... as in not at all :-) But I'm really happy with it none the less.

                Cheers

This sounds like heaven. I love dark, rich flavours like this. Im a sucker for dark chocolate, green and black 85% being my favorite Love my coffee as well, double espresso every morning, fresh from the mocca pot.

This sounds like the sort of snus id buy a roll or two of, and as you say, it does sound alot like a luxury snus. After a nice big meal or a good day out! I look forward to hearing more on this squeezy

Hey squeeze. First off god bless you you are the man! Your instructions taught me how to make snus. And oddly I had never seen this recipe I just found on my own that the best snus is made with dark cigar tobacco, dark cacao, and coffee and vanilla. Cheers
