FUBAR Grunt

I'm not detecting a huge difference with this first batch as what I received last week from Mr. Snuff, but there is a difference. Definitely a bit more coconut, still getting chocolate from it too. In either case, this is some good snuff. I'm going to declare this my third favorite snuff right now. Tom Buck is first, F&T HDT second, Fubar Grunt third.

May I also suggest mixing HDT with Toque Raspberry, approximately 5 to 1 for a fantastic fruity toast

It's more like the smell of that well oiled hottie in that ad you posted above. Suntan oil. I don't get the panties.

No, I think the hint of panties is from the ammonia that comes with any fresh snuff

I know in theory what your saying but it just doesn't pronounce itself in the same way as the FUBAR I know and cherish. I mean I've caught the traces of ammonia in many of snuffs, however the panties scent just isn't there as it is in my Grunt. I'm very disappointed to find out they may have taken this aspect out now. I don't think another brand can ever replicate the experience. My Nose Noes.

Hey LaZ, yea the "Panties" smell you get is not from the Ammonia, as you pointed out, It is the fermented Tobacco base itself, I know the smell, Yeasty, But it is a background scent and you have to work to find it, then it is easy to spot. What I call the first "Batch", was what was available two years ago, I bought a pound or so from Dave, and another pound from Tom. Both were the real deal, coconut panties, although it is just Grunt to me!

Then they both ran out for a couple of months, When it came in I bought a 260 gram from both Dave and Tom, that was what I call batch #2. It has a funky smell in bulk and far less coconut. I still have one left, and I added a 25 gram tub of WoW coconut to bring it back in line, it took a week of airing to get the funk out. Then they sold out again.

When it came back I ordered several ten gram tubs from different suppliers in order to check it out, I was planning one more pound purchase, since I love it so, But this batch, I call it #3, has no Grunt qualities at all, It has a chocolate hit, that morphs into a rather pronounced Cigar flavor, With no coconut at all, zippo. It is a great Cigar snuff, and that is what it has for me, cigar. But it should not even be called Grunt, I consider it far more than a batch variance. I am simply not buying any more of this one. I covet the stash I have, but I remain disappointed that any one trying it now will have no idea what it is that the original had to offer.

I understand what you mean by working to find it, however, call me a panty sniffer, hell I don't know but the scent was always prevalent to me. Long live the Grunt of the past. I believe I have about 12 1/2 grams left myself and I will be using it sparingly for special occasions here on out.

I got a 25 gram tin of this today! It was a lot sweeter than I expected, very easy to take (not like the description says, that warns you that if you do not have exquisite pressure control, it will blow your head off), and had a pretty killer nicotine hit. I took a pinch of this together with my morning coffee and did not need a snus for some hours after that. Good stuff!

It does remind me a lot of Wow! Coffee Bite. I thinks it the same tobacco base, only cranked up a notch in the nicotine department. The grind is basically the same as well, and there is some aroma I'm getting from both (not coffee but something else).

I got some of the newest batch, let's call it batch 4.

It is definitely good and very close to the scent of the original batch. I like it and am planning a bulk buy if Dave ever gets it in bulk......and if not I will continue to by a tub every month or so.

The difference of this batch to the first batch is the color. It is much darker than I remember. It also feels a bit moister and seemingly less finely ground (or my technique has improved over the past year or so).

I like it. The scent is awesome, there is plenty of nicotine and, hopefully, it will now stay that way.

Definitely the best of the Fubar line....maybe the best Dholokia on the market...at least my favorite.

Monkey, I opened a vacuum sealed original and compared to the latest batch, I believe that with the briefest airing they are practically the same.

I believe the original batch was slow to start moving and was somewhat mellowed by the time it sold. This new batch is very fresh and I believe it will mellow soon after airing. Damn close though.

Yeah. I noticed that in my carry tin. It is really hitting the spot for me. Is the color of the tobacco the same? I haven't had the original batch in some time and some days my memory is not what it used to be.

I must say the scent is much more alluring when fresh.

I'm very new to snuff, only a month into it, and this has come to the forefront as one of my favourite snuffs. I know, in time my tastes may change and I could end up not liking it at all, but damn this is nice stuff!

I was reluctant to try it from the descriptions I originally read elsewhere. Hard to take, will blow your head off if not careful, etc. etc. Then I read here about coconut panties. I like coconut, and I like panties. I was torn as to whether or not to order it, but the allure of coconut panties won out and I ordered a 25 grammer.

Much to my surprise I find it easy to take and the flavour is very nice indeed! I get no coconut, nor do I get any panties. What I do get is a very nice tobacco flavour, like a fine cigar (unlit) and a respectable nicotine hit. It has not found the back of my head, or made it into my lungs, or made my eyes water. I guess this latest batch is easier to take than the previous ones.

I have a couple of similar snuffs in my shopping cart - I can only assume they are similar by reading reviews online, but if they are able to unseat this one I will be very surprised.

Are we talking about the same Fubar Grunt here?
I get pepper with an after aroma of slightly smoked pipe tobacco. The nicotine is quite long lasting but didn't appear to be that strong. An average snuff.
