    Old Paris

This is Christmas baking in the oven, a warm fire, and eggnog all in a pinch of snuff. To me it is in the same family as a fermented schmalzler yet lighter, not as coarse, and easier to take.

The smell of OP is not the sappy perfumes of so many of the F&T scented offerings. Rather it is old world, deep and refined.

A must try IMO and a great end of the day snuff

I know its a scented snuff but it just reminds me of fine plain tobacco. Mixes great with H.D.T .

I know there are fans of this snuff here, and I am sorry but I personally hate this snuff...halfway through the tin. It just has not hit me right.

Ok. The date smell is fine. I love dates. I eat them whenever I get the chance....

There is a floral background scent that doesn't do it for me. I want to like it ....especially as this was described as the indoor yin to the Santo Domingo outdoor yang.

        I love Santo Domingo.

I am kinda sad I don't dig this snuff.....especially with all of the good that I hear of it.

Please, it is a good and well balanced snuff, I just don't get on with it, so make your own judgement of it.

As for me....I will stick with my Santo Domingo thankyouverymuch.

Yes! This IS like a Schmalzler but not as coarse - much much easier to take. I hate coarse schmalzlers as they just make my nose drip tar. Very easy to snuff a lot of this and the more you do it rewards you with bags of pleasure. Definately a refined and mature scent. I can tell this will be very much a favourite of mine.

Definately in my top 2 favourits snuffs. Slightly smokey slightly chocolatey - good deep tobacco aroma......deep nicotine delivery. 10/10 - quite special this.

Just a bit of info on Old Paris flavouring which I thought would be of interest.

This snuff is flavoured with Arrack which is fermented and distilled dates.
                  Wikipedia reference below:
Arrack (Wikipedia) Arrack, also spelled arak,[1] is a distilled alcoholic drink typically produced in Arab countries and the Middle East , South Asia and Southeast Asia, made from either the fermented sap of coconut flowers, sugarcane, grain (e.g. red rice) or fruit (in this case dates), depending upon the country of origin

Whoever thought of mixing fermented dates with snuff was a genius. Who would have thought that fermented dates would bring out such a deeply rich tobacco scent. I wonder how Arrack would go with snus?
