    Hedges L260

Lots of Camphor and menthol upon opening the tin...as you would expect.
Fine moist grind and surprisingly easy to take. Surprisingly no nose run or burn.
Now I'm not a fan of camphor, I prefer menthol but this tin is a magic box. Couldn't detect tobacco but no matter.
I took it as soon as I got out of bed, and I know it doesn't go well with coffee, but with these combined I was awake very very quickly and...painlessly. Quite remarkable...and yes, It would clear drains...but pleasantly.
It's like it boosts your energy and it lasts for a long time.

    Very interesting snuff. Highly recommended.

I would second that! Darn good snuff, and obscenely readily available. You would be a fool not to pick up a tin if you get the chance

I've been using this a lot. Usually with other menthols my nose starts to close up. That's not happening with this one, despite its strength.

They are my thoughts exactly! To be frank I don't normally care much for menthol snuff, but this just perfectly blended, its one of the best.

Ive lived with this a while now and Im still not getting rebound congestion..just fresh every time ending with the tobacco aromas.
I rarely order snuff again as there are few that float my boat but Ive ordered another tin.
Ive thoroughly enjoyed this..the grind, moisture, sensation and aromas are perfect. If it's medicated you want, don't waste your time looking any further.

The Hedges is a little sharp for taste. I described the sensation of doing it in cold air, as like having an icepick driven between your eyes :^D McCrystals is my favorite medicated. It's "warmer", and a bit more complex.

Hedges was the first tobacco I ever had of any sort ... For many years I didn't know that there was any other kind of snuff made anywhere because it was always in every newsagents or tobacconists I went to.

It's a classic - but pretty full on in it's medicated nature. The tobacco is rich and dark ... and when you get a really fresh tin it's so moist that it nearly looks like snus.

Oh - and if it's medicated you want Frosted ... it's got to be Wilson's Medicated no.99, surely? That's my absolute favourite.

Funny you should say that...Ive just ordered J&H SP No 1. Ive been all round the houses with snuff and Im figuring theres a reason why these snuffs have been around so long.
I remember starting off with a Wilson's medicated about a decade ago but found it bunged me up.

The moistness is what I love about this. Wilson's of Sharrow snuffs are dry as a nuns....
I'm half way through now and the moisture is somehow the same as when it was first opened.

Medicated no.99 isn't Wilson's of Sharrow ... it's J & H Wilson's - a totally different kettle of fish - presumably a family business that split off in Sheffield like Samuel Gawith and Gawith & Hoggarth in Kendal. But I really rate the few J&H Wilsons snuffs left - there were far more 10 years ago - but you can only get SP no.1, Top Mill no.1 and Medicated no.99 now.

Jeezus lol. Of course I know that. Was comparing Hedges with Sharrow extra menthol really.
