    Menthol

I have come to realize I am a menthol fan. Toque's Menthol is a flavor I wanted to love from the get go.

After a failed attempted to enjoy the Cherry Menthol, I was hesitating on buying this for fear I would be disappointed.

I was wrong...this stuff is marvelous! This is Toque's answer to O&G. This seems to have more moisture and at the same time...O&G is more fluffy.

A natural blast of menthol with a high nicotine level. Due to this being loaded with nicotine, I ponder if the Willy Wonka of snuff himself, Roderick is using Quit as a base for this. I get that same clean tobacco taste after the menthol aroma dissipates.

The bottom line is...if this was the only menthol snuff I could get, I would be in heaven!

Toque menthol is a very good straight menthol. It is hard to compare Toque to other menthols, because almost all other menthols use a base other than menthol to accent/mitigate the menthol flavor. It does not have the SP or eucalyptus qualities of the O&G, but it provides a good pure menthol scent. It reminds me most of WoS super menthol, but, again, the super menthol has a citrus base that is lacking in the Toque version. What I am getting at, I guess, is that this is an excellent menthol (and an even better mixer, if you just want to give a menthol kick to your favorite scotch) that is worth trying if you like menthols even just a little bit.

This is probably the best straight menthol snuff available, or at least the best I've tried. It's just menthol, tobacco, and a touch of sweetness, nothing else. The menthol level is potent, equivalent to Hedges or some of Wilson's "blasters". Nicotine strength seems above average, too, although I'm not sure it's as strong as Quit. The tobacco appears a tiny bit darker than most of the Toque line, and it's very moist -- enough to form clumps in the 50g bag I received. A welcome treat for the menthol lover, and a good one to have on hand to mentholate your own mixes. Toque Menthol is second only to WoS Honey Menthol on my list of favorite menthol snuffs.

It's a great Menthol Snuff and O&G has more of a Vicks/Eucalyptus scent. They are both great snuffs.

I get more camphor than anything else from O&G, and that's why it will never make my Top 5 Menthols list. The menthol/camphor combo is what makes it smell like Vicks, and it's way too much camphor for me. If you want menthol + eucalyptus without the camphor, try WoS Menthol Plus.

Funny thing, though, I don't mind the camphor so much in Hedges. Maybe that's because it's definitely playing second fiddle to that huge dose of menthol.

I have only tried 4 snuffs so far, all Toque: Menthol, Raspberry Menthol, Original, and Absinthe.

I only ever smoke menthol cigarettes; I'm not sure if this colors my preferences for snuff.

Toque Menthol is my favorite of those four, by far. Straight menthol to the dome. Overwhelming only in a positive sense.
