F&T Toast is really that good..............but it's also true that everyone's taste is different.................it's also true that one's expectation of what he wants a snuff to be will get in the way of what that snuff really is...........If first disappointed set it aside and forget it...............come back to it in a few months..............if you still don't like it you will have no trouble selling/trading it on the exchange. It took me a while to get this one................now it is my #1

That said here is my breakdown of the toasts

F&T is like a croissant-- Buttery good

Wilsons #22 A croissant eaten around a camp fire....... less buttered bread......... more smoke (like an American Scotch that went to finishing school)

    Toque Natural Toast- Unlit Cigar
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

It's definitely a 50g buy. It's very good, and sublime. Even if you didn't LOVE it, it's still quite usable, and very versatile.

The Toque Natural Toast is probably my least favorite in that style. To me, it's kind of a mid ground between the English toasts, and American scotches, so it's less distinctive than either. Smokier than the toasts, and less nuttiness, but not as smokey as a good scotch. It's just a bit less of the characteristics I desire, though good in it's own way.

I also recommend a 10g starter of Dholakia Sparrow Cool this one is rarely mentioned but is as serious as they come. Nice balance of smokey fine tobacco with a hint of exotic menthol or camphor.

Snusdog, duly noted... Thanks for the great reply and I like the #1 and will try not to have my expectation of what I want a snuff to be like get in the way of what that snuff really is... I also understand everyone's taste is different with snuff just as it is with snus.. But i also would think some snuff would be just like Ettan snus a classic that most like along with General..

Yeah i'm definitely wanting the 50g now and feel better about it, Now i just need to wait till Monday and see what the response will be if they have it in stock as the site says.. If not there are other options that would still be a good choice thanks to all the suggestions...

This one would not appeal to my taste as I'm really not a fan of menthols or camphor, This much I do know about snuff's so far... But Wilsons HDT#22 sounds like it would appeal to me..

The only reason I'm holding back on the Braniff Caribbean is because i read that this snuff comes with a (very slight, though) dose of menthol, But i do like how the flavor profile sounds as far as it having The base of a delicious cigar flavour, topped with a tasty melange of chocolate, vanilla, coconut flavours... Still debating this one in my mind yet as i have until Monday to decide.

As A side note: I do think menthols have their place and have a few that are adequate for my needs I just don't need anymore than the few i have...

I still need to give this one another shot, But have tried several times over the past couple weeks and just can't get over the smelly feet/smelly cheesy snatch crotch/smegma profile i get from it.. I just pass over it every time and shutter...LOL

I actually like the cheese and bacon lol.. Only snuff I can't stand is the toque espresso.. Smells like an old used coffee filter to me.

The one toast that I have yet to try is Frederick Tranter Irish High Toast #22

Not to be confused with the Wilsons Irish high Toast #22

Mr Snuff got it in sometime after my last order so it will have to wait. However, I have heard really good things about this one and it has been on my wish list a while. Might be worth picking up a tin

For those who don't like the menthol, the Dholakia Sparrow Green has no menthol and is a very nice exotic Indian snuff. It really is a unique spicy (though unscented) blend of Tobaccos. Good strong kick. A must try IMO
