I agree that it would be nice to see a list of retailers who are carrying Silver Dollar. I'm not holding out much hope there will be any near me, but you never know...

A snuff that is legal to sell in a BM shop should be legal to sell in the snuson shop..................

Silver Dollar would be a great add on to the new store and a great way for folks interested in giving snuff a try to get some great user friendly flavors.

Yeah, I don't see a problem or any legal issues with it at all. The reason they were pulled from the US market to begin with was that they wouldn't register with the FDA, but now that Roderick is using Phillips & King as a distributor, he had to register the product. The people at P&K are by the book, so they'll have made sure that was done ;-)

got a free 5g tin of the apricot silver dollar from a tobacconist today , went into to buy some pipe tobacco and saw he had a few snuffs on the shelf and asked if they had the silver dollar and he said ya he had a can for sampling and I gave it a whirl and it's was very good , no menthol like the gawith apricot and the scent lasted and lasted better than any other snuff I have tried , give it a try if you have not done so

As I recall, the issue wasn't that Roderick refused to register, it was that the FDA insisted he put oral cancer warnings on it. Naturally, he said it was silly to require that for something that didn't go in your mouth, to which the FDA replied, "Uh, snuff goes in your mouth, what are you, some sort of idiot?" He kept trying to get them to come up with some sort of appropriate labelling that wouldn't give new users the wrong idea about how it was intended to be used, and last I heard they were still trying to come to grips with the notion that some people are still sticking tobacco up their nose. Since Silver Dollar obviously got registered and approved, I'm hoping it's only a matter of time before I can harass my B&M into stocking it for me.

Part of registering the products with the FDA is accepting their insane warnings for your product packaging and submitting samples of the new packaging. Let me know what your local brick and mortar store is and I'll have the distributor's rep contact them. We use the same distributor ;-)

I've tried Raspberry, Cherry, and Original, and I love these snuffs. I can't get enough of them. Raspberry is so incredible. Seems a little light on nicotine, but I don't really care. I like the regular Toque Original flavor more, but the Silver Dollar version is interesting, and seems to have more of a kick than the two fruit flavors. I'm definitely going back and getting the other flavors, even the Spearmint, which didn't sound very appealing at first.

The only bad thing is the annoying can. Otherwise, it's a great product, and one I think that could be great at introducing snuff to first-time users here in America.
