Neti-pots are really good, but sometimes my sinuses get even more inflamed that they were after using the neti-pot.

    Is it just me?

I'm really having a hard time with my sinusitis, nothing seems to work really well, not even anti-biotics. I basically don't have much infection but the cavities are inflamed.

    Any suggestions?

For a long time now snuff is just an ocassional thing.... because of my sinuses.

More than likely, you got too much snuff too far in, and your sinuses reacted just as they're designed to react to any foreign particle. This is pretty easy to do with dry toasts in general, and American Scotches in particular.

The good news is that, believe it or not, your sinuses will adapt in a short time. That's true for most of us, at least.....for some, it just doesn't work out.

The neti pot is really useful for snuffers, though. I use one myself two or three times a week, and there are some here that use one daily. They key with that, in my experience at least, is to make sure the water is as close to your body temperature as possible. If I get it too warm or too cold, it seems my sinuses react and lock up right away. It should be just *barely* lukewarm.

And keep the solution as low in salt as you can go. I find the salt inflames my sinuses if I use too much.

Ive been using my neti pot with room temp distilled water. Is it better to warn it up? I usually am done with a rinse in 2-3 minutes.

Room temp is fine, if it works for you.

                Body temperature is best.
