What do you think of old snuff?

I used to use snuff a bit, then I went to snus, but I still have quite a few tins of nasal snuff, some of them even unopened. They are getting old, two and more years from purchase. Do you think I should throw them out, because the tobacco goes bad with some mold or bacteria of whatever invisible to naked eye, or just use them sporadically, when I feel like having a little change?

They are not really stored anywhere properly: just placed in an ornate wooden box on the bookshelf, but not in a wet environment, dramatically changing temperatures or anything like that. As to the taste, it might be waning but they are still sort of delicious

Thank you for advice, if you have any.

They should be fine. I'm using snuff from 2008 that wasn't kept particularly well. Some of the flavor is gone, but otherwise it's great.

Unlike snus it's not something i worry about with nasal snuff.

Some people even say it gets better with age...

Sorry for the off-topic Frankie Reloaded, but do they still sell snuff in Slovakia, I was there around 6 years ago and got it fairly easily from some supermarket (prices were cheap as hell too) and I was in Slovakia last summer as well and did not find any snuff..

              Thank you all.

@kevinatest: They do sell snuff, but it is not popular at all and so you have to search quite a lot. Normal tobacconists usually do not carry any snuff. The stalls at some supermarkets sell Poschl. I never saw any other brand in our shops. Unfortunately, Poschl seemed too oily for me; it made my nose very runny, so I bought other brands off the Web

A tin costs about 2 euros.

I think it was Pöschls too, some menthol snuff in blue tin.
