South African Snuff

I've never had a South African snuff. I'm not sure I'd like it, but want to give one a try. Which snuff would you all recommend? For flavor, packaging, and presentation, which is the definitive South African style?

I'd go for Leonard Dingler Taxi Red snuff (Extra Strong ) or blue is ok. We can't get red in the UK now, not sure why, i did love that snuff

Crap. That, and NTSU green are both on order. I'm going through MrSnuff. I want to try the Grimm and Triepel kautabak, and thought I'd get a couple odds and ends while I'm ordering. Any thoughts on Venters menthol and camphor? I like camphor, but in this case authenticity is my primary objective, regardless of anything else.

I remember reading that Taxi Snuff is owned/manufactured by Swedish Match, so undesirable contents (TSNA, metals, etc) will likely be negligible.

Yes, it is Swedish Match. I just find it a bit odd we can get the blue in the UK, but not the red, i really loved the red

That is the only South African snuff I have tried......the black. It is good but kicks like a mule......as for being the definitive style.....?

Holy hell! The NTSU is like snuffing used cat litter, and jalapeño peppers. It reeks of ammonia, and burns like nothing else I've had before. This one's gonna take some getting used to :^D

I had to let NTSU air out for almost a week before I could tolerate it.

This snuff is unbelievably strong also. The pinch I did last night made me spit out my snus. It went to my head big time. I might try airing it out a bit, but I want to give it some thought. I'm not sure I want to dull the sensory blitzkrieg of this weird little snuff :^D
