How the hell do you open Mc Chrystals O&G and Viking Dark tins?

Ok, so I got a minor tin of Mc Chrystals Original & Genuine and Viking Dark today in the mail. I want to try both of those right now but I can't for the love of god open the frickin' tins! The O&G seems to turn a bit when I try to screw the lid open, but the it seems to get stuck. And the tin is so damn small I can't get a good grip. And the Viking Dark (big can), is like welded shut. Is it a twist-to-open can? This is extremely annoying... lol

Ahahaha i know how you feel heders. I opened McChrystal's minor tin of clove last week and took couple of pinches. And now i can't even open the tin because it also feels like its been welded shut. Don't know about Viking snuff tins but McChrystals tins are like Wilsons of Sharrows tins so the lid should be just lift of.

Hahaha waaah... Lift off? wtf... No matter what I do it won't open! I want some snuff!

EDIT: Wohoo! It worked with the O&G! Just had to open it with my nails a bit.

The Viking Dark still won't open though...

EDIT2: Got that one open as well! It was vacuum sealed so I had to release the pressure a bit with a knife. Thread can be deleted or whatever.

I have only tried a little bit of it, and I like it! Right out of the tin it smells a lot like F&T - HDT I noticed. Will wait until I take another pinch(es) for a longer review.

Never had a problem getting the lid off McChrystals, but Wilsons have always been a major bitch combined with the fact that the snuff is overflowing.
I think the problem is the snuff sticking to the tape residue turns it into superglue.
I use a knife point to initially open it and then when putting the lid back on I twist the hell out of it and that usually helps.

When in doubt, a dremel will help you out...
