Help choosing a light-colour moist (preferably menthol) snuff?

I'm looking for a snuff that doesn't cause black nostrils and isn't too dry! Does light-colour and moist ever go together?

I'm unaware of any light menthols, but I haven't been through all the snuffs by a long shot. Light snuff tends to be very fine and dry.

What LX said, light snuffs tend to be toasts and quite dry and fine, if you want a mentholy one try Dragun Menthol, it should suit you but be careful with it and start with small pinches.

J & H Wilson's Medicated no. 99 is fairly moist when fresh - mid-coloured red-brown rather than light - but it's certainly not dark. It's quite fine milled and an absolute favourite of mine with a long and proud history. It's definitely worth a try.

Crap! I forgot! Hedges is pretty light colored, but not too moist. Moisture shouldn't be too difficult to add. I didn't think of it cause I'm not a big fan. The menthols a bit strong for my taste, and the scent is kind of single dimensional. Taking a pinch of Hedges in cold weather feels like your getting stabbed between the eyes with an ice pick :^D

I find McChrystal's Original & Genuine to be the most enjoyable menthol I've tried so far. It's not overpowering like the Hedges and has good moisture. But it is not light coloured. I'm not aware of a light coloured menthol but perhaps you could mix some Dholakia White with some Hedges. That sounds like it could be weapons-grade stuff.

It is strong stuff, I love it Its a dark brown, think the Op is more after the colour of a HDT but menthol, Dragun ticks the boxes but it does somewhat kick you in the nuts for your nose! lol

I only have 2 menthols at the moment, McChrystals O&G and some Wilsons of Sharrow S.M. 500. The Wilsons has some eucalyptus in it that really smells great! Nice and frosty feeling in the nose. Granted those are the only 2 mentholated snuffs I've ever had, but the S.M. 500 is way better than the O&G imho.
