    What's a great schmalzler?

and one that I can buy in something larger than a tap box? The super moist dark brown Indian snuffs I just received have me craving a nice German snuff.

Sternecker makes exceptional snuff, and it's a one man operation. Not as moist and sweet as Bernard, but it's a finely crafted product that's easy to take, and doesn't become cloying.

Give Sternecker fresco a try......it will give you a high quality indicative of the schmalzlers (not as sweet as some...not as bland as others...........but right down the middle....and for a great price)

          You can find it here
          https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/ster...0g-p-1078.html

If I could buy a schmalzler in bulk.... it would be Bernard Klostermischung.......that said......I would not complain if they sent me Sternecker fresco by mistake....all the elements of the Benards are there........ just a bit more balanced (which for all day use is a very good thing)

Start with the Sternecker and work your way out from there
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Noted Zwiefacher but it could be interesting to hear why?Now I'm looking for where I posted my Morocco as a Friebourg Treyer and it's Wilson's Of Sharrow! If you see it fix it I guess?
              *already found it and fixed
I believe that Morocco might be a medium or down the middle as you suggest SnusDog. If you've ever had it and remember let me know because it might be mild for all I know at this point.

Zweifacher is interesting because it is a mentholated smaltzer. Best of both worlds, even though I dont care for menthol typically.

I'm not a big menthol fan either but Zwiefacher is excellent. I think it is a half-schmalzler, meaning half schmalzler-half snuff. It's still very easy to take but I don't get as much of the annoying drip from it as I do from the straight-up schmalzlers. After the initial menthol fades, there is a cherry/vanilla/cake like scent. I believe I have read others describe a cotton candy aroma. It's a repeat order for me, too bad I've only seen it available in the tap box.

I second Sternecker Fresco too. I got the 50g to try and find that once I start in on it it's hard to stop.

If you like tobacco/chocolaty aroma go for Bernard Klostermischung without a doubt, Zwiefacher is also a very good catch of half schmalzer (mentholated), some day I´ve to try some Sternecker, most people say it´s great. Some much baccy, so less money...
