I'm waiting on a shipment of Knox and assorted Phantom/Offroad as well as a bunch of different varieties of nasal snuff from Toquesnuff.com. My toque order was shipped out Thursday so hopefully it'll be here soon! Can't wait to try the nasal snuff flavors they sound really good. Sometimes I just get tired of the same old snus and have to change things up. I've only tried nasal snuff a few times, I remember my first hit because it was painful...I had no idea it was so strong, so I took out a pretty good size amount of McChrystals super mentholated snuff and huffed it hard (had no idea how to use it at the time). I believe the response was "FAAAAAAAAAAACK" then my eyes turned red and started watering. From then on I was a lot more careful about how I used nasal snuff. I try to stay away from the really strong menthols because they make my nose run. I really do like the flavor of the McChrystals though, maybe after I use it a little longer I can move up to a stronger menthol snuff. How many of you guys also use nasal snuff? What are your favorite brands/flavors? Do you like the menthol?

I was about 12 when I first tried snuff, Navy was the brand. It burned like mad, and I only used 2 pinches from the tin. I'd love to find that tin, it might be in an old box somewhere...
I decided to revisit snuff this past winter. I got Tube Rose, Peach, Society, and Railroad Mills. It still burned like hell, but I dug the scent, and even appreciated the burn in some strange way.
I had been wanting to try some English and European snuffs, and Roderick being on the forums brought that to mind. I stopped at a local tobacco shop and picked up some Gawith apricot, and Wilson's Crumbs of Comfort.
I loved them, especially the Gawith. I never realized snuff could be so smooth. Gawith is still my favorite, but now I have a lifetime of snuff sitting in front of me from almost every major manufacturer from across the pond :^D
I prefer the menthols, but they do tend to make my nose run. My favorite non-menthol is Molens A/P Snuff. It smells like a burned pine log, and the scent lasts forever. It's not one I'd want to use more than a couple of times per day, but those couple of times are awesome :^)

LOL, the first time i tried nasal snuff it was Navy Scotch snuff and it hit the back of my throat and i immediately coughed, my eyes watered and i sneezed.
It wasnt tha pleasant but the toque snuffs were delicious and I use them in the morning and snus at night.
I am still very much an active snuser but my nic intake has gone down because of my panic attacks lately.

ROTFLMMFAOPIMP!!! Thats one of the funniest posts I've seen yet. Its probably so funny to me because thats seems to be everyones first reaction. Thats funny......"FAAAAAAAAAAK" is so true and is exactly the best description.
I first tried Doctor Rumleys Mentholyptus snus about 40 years ago. Never tried any other type. I used a few tins and fell away from it. About 10 months ago I was going thru a box and found the last tin I had. Sadly, it was empty. So I went to my tobacco shop and got some peppermint snuff. It was awfull. I went on line to track down the Dr. Rumleys and found out that it hasn't been made in years. I asked one fellow who seemed to be The Wizard Of Snuff what the closest current snuff is to the Rumleys. He directed me to the Wilsons of Sharrow Menthol Plus. Damned if it isn't the exact same stuff. It appears too be the same high quality snuff as Rumleys. I'll be getting some samples from Torque when I get around to asking for them. BUT, I'm afraid I will like them too much and I hesitate to put anything up my nose. So I keep my snuff use to only at night I take a few sniffs.
I know alot of you fellas are just getting into nasal snuff but I fear you may overdo it. So please use it in moderation. I'm gonna start a thread asking others if they know about actual health problems so we can all learn. Mr. TBob probably has that info. As well as others I'm sure.

If you dont want to be called PP you better tell me your name. lol
So, I've been looking into some health aspects of nasal snuff and there aren't any reported cases of cancer in the hunreds of years it's been used...that I could find anyway. Granted, not a lot of people still use it. I remember a post on another forum where a guy said he takes 10 grams a day every day and has never had any issues. 10g would be about 2 teaspoons worth. I'm sure there are many people that use more than that.

If anyone is interested I can email a copy of the graph showing Toque TSNA's compared to cigarettes. The TSNA's in Toque were so low that we had to extend the graph just to get Toque to register.
You will get an even bigger shock if you look up the nicotine content of Tomatoes, Peppers, Potatoes and Eggplants.

Tomacco's eh? Hope you're hungry. Supposedly a person would have to consume 355 lbs of cauliflower, 309 lbs of potatoes, and 206 lbs of tomatoes to equal the amount of nicotine in one cigarette. This makes the eggplant the powerhouse of nicotine rich vegetables requiring a mere 22 lbs to equal one cig. I'll stick with my favorite veggie which contains that much in a gram, tobacco.

So I tried a little of the husband's snuff, just for kicks, and it was like inhaling little grains of sand that eventually stung my nose a little. While I didn't have the FAAAAAAK moment, it did make me cough a bit.
While the scent/flavor was ok (original from toque), I think I'll stick to other means to get my nicotine fix. There are a few flavors that sound really yummy though (orange), so maybe I'll give this a re-visit again after the husband's order comes in, and I have a chance to try something else.

My kid once snorted pepper, why?? I have no clue! It's a good thing his response WASN'T "FAAAACCKKK," or else he would have had another "FAAAACK!!" moment with soap in his mouth! Anyway, my first snuff experience was SNEEZY! I first tried Ozona Raspberry which I hear is one of the better beginner snuffs. I liked it so much that I continued using it and a few other 'overseas' snuff and am now left with an upper respiratory infection. I have no clue if it's from the snuff or my germy kid...but life sucks right now!
