I keep seeing all these posts regarding Toque snuff. Just curious - is there something special about Toque? I mean, I've used Wilson's of Sharrow, McChrystal, Poschl, Gawath, etc., etc., for years and have enjoyed them all greatly; yet from this forum you'd think that Toque is the only nasal snuff in existence. Am I missing something, or is Toque somehow better than any other nasal snuff in the world? I'm more than willing to be converted, I'd just like to have a reason for it! Just curious. Thanks.
Toque snuff - what about all the others??

Welcome snusbear!!
The reason for all the buzz around Toque, imo, is that while Toque's founder does participate in this forum, his flavors of snuff are unique. Toque tends to think "outside the box" when creating flavors. His snuff is the first Vanilla flavored snuff I've seen and, to be honest, it's outstanding! Other flavors that get away from the traditional HDT's are: Raspberry, Chocolate, St. Clements (orange), Expresso and Toast and Marmalade just to name a few. Toque was the first snuff I've tried and, by far the best, imo. If your looking for a snuff with a flavor away from traditional flavors, Give em' a try!
btw: I'm not a part of the company, just a dedicated lover of Toque!

Hey - thanks for the replies! - makes sense.
I'm still on the ciggies, unfortunately, but am trying to "snus" my way away from them. (Coughing up phlegm from morning to night is starting to get really old.) One thing I've found I can do to stay off cigs for hours at a time (which for me at least is a real challenge!), EVEN when drinking beer, is to pop in a strong portion for the basic nicotine load, and then supplement with a hit of snuff when I feel the need for that sudden punch that cigarettes give. Snus gives good nic but no "punch," while nasal snuff gives a great punch (and, like cigarettes, the ability to adjust your dose of nicotine at will), but only short-lasting satisfaction. Plus, taking frequent little hits of snuff gives me something to do with my hands (a MAJOR part of my cigarette habit) - I'm thinking about trying lössnus and hand-baking for the same reason.
My favorite snus (what is the plural of "snus"?) so far are: N&J West, N&J original portion, Skruf Stark (yummy!), Ettan original portion, Wise strong original portion.
My favorite nasal snuff: Wilson's Crumbs of Comfort (I've always loved spearmint flavor). Gletscher Prise for convenience when out and about.

So being as ridiculously girlie as I normally am, I'd only tried snuff a couple of times-- and both times ended very badly.
But I'd heard great things about Toque and, naturally, was curious. So I emailed the wonderful people at Toque and received a sample of Raspberry and Toffee.
WOW! I wasn't really sure what to expect, aside from the inevitable sneeze... But the Toque snuff really lives up to the hype! The toffee especially has me hooked!
I'm trying my best to smoke less, which means I've had to find different ways of getting sweet, sweet nicotine into my system. This coming payday, it'll be more snus and some Toque for me!

Snus and snuff is a good combo to help quit smoking with. The snuff gives you a quick nicotine hit, and it also gives your nose something to do. snus doesn't really stimulate your sense of smell, and the snuff fills that niche nicely.
The snus gives you long lasting flavor, and a slow release of nicotine for lasting enjoyment.

I have to hand it to Toque, Words cannot express how great they are. The free samples they sent me were great. Their product is great coupled with customer service is second to none. Their flavors are quite outside the box and appealing to a "newer" generation of snuffers. They are leaders in re-introducing snuff to the world.
Tried em. Liked em. No regrets. I'm a die hard loyal customer now.

Toque is a great company and their products are great as well.
I personally hate the tins that the stuff comes in because everyone i received was dented or the threads were messed up and wouldnt screw back on right.
The snuff itself is superb, just wish they would opt for a different tin.
Ive had Gawiths and poschls and so on too but i always use toque as my staple snuff.

I use a number of snuff varieties and toque is good stuff too - I think their main 'win' is taking themselves out of the 'old school' snuff category and moving into a 'modern' niche with the product - and so invigorating the category and opening up new users to the fine product.
Snus + snuff = niiiiice

Hey holnew, just go here an request them. From what I understand, you have to request them specifically to make it legal for Roderick to send them. http://www.toquesnuff.com/index.php?app=gbu0&ns=contact
