Nasal Snuff

you didn't have to ask I tried the toffee, and it is my favorite out of what I've gotten. I took the chance of getting an entire tin and am glad that I did.

Can't wait to try one with a lucky strike portion, sounds like a perfect match.

also, I found the "Convienience" of the bullet wasn't really working for me. I just started taking pinches out of the tin. if my fingers are dry, I don't lose much, and I can see directly how much I'm taking. simple.

having some troubles cleaning my nose, as it becomes very dry. It seems to be better today(my third day), so hopefully my body is compensating for it with more moisture. A Q-tip didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

Right now it's almost entirely snuff while at home, but I'm a bit worried about an uneducated member of the public thinking I'm sniffing something more dangerous, so it's snus when out and about.

I too am enjoying snuff. It's the cheapest way to have tobacco in the UK as it's completely tax free.

In public I only use the more moist ones, such as those made by Poschl.

I've just got a neti pot to clear out my nose. but I'm scared to use it!

That's a hoot and sounds like me. I looked at the neti pot video and my eyes opened wide. Looks like waterboarding a suspected terrorist!

Actually, I tried a neti pot for the first time today and it didn't bother me at all. It's actually rather refreshing and if you use snuff, it definitely helps clean it all out.

What are some other options to get rid of spent snuff?

Using a couple of squirts of saline spray (like Ocean) helps wet the nose enough that you can get a lot of it out, but I've found nothing works like a neti pot or nasaline.

I tried this a couple times when I first heard about these and dealing with the newbie snuffer nasal stuffiness. I used my (now retired) turkey baster with good results. Fortunately, continued snuffing and the discomfort and congestion all but disappeared, coincidentally so did the use of Poschl, to a large degree. :?

So that's a regular part of a snuffer's routine? They find ways to wet their nose in order to remove residue?

To me this is slightly revolting. Do you always have brown mucus?

Yeah, I've noticed Poschl tends to clog the nose a bit more than others.

And no, I've never had brown mucus. Honestly the only issues I'm having with snuffing is that it's winter and my nose dries out real bad. Other than that, I wouldn't have a need to use saline spray/neti pots.

I use Hedges( an extremely strong menthol) before I get in the shower. The hot water and menthol loosens everything up, and I get huge gobs of brown snot :^D

It might not be glamorous, but it works :^)

if nasal snuff seems disgusting to you then it probably will be. I think it's insane that people are willing to inhale the combustion of paper, reconstituted tobacco sheet and who knows what else, are willing to place a wet pouch of salted tobacco sprayed with tobaccy juice next to their gum, but ground tobacco sitting on the nasal walls is disgusting.

snuff takes some practice, I read alot about how to do it, but still had to just try. At first I accidentally inhaled some, which resulted in the powder causing plegm in the back of my throat that I had to spit out. I found that If I inhaled "all the way"(you can sniff without inhaling), then sniffed as lightly as possible, it would just go on the walls of my nostril. Sometimes my nose becomes runny and I blow it out, sometimes I sneeze it out, and either one will happen after a while. At the end of a day of snuffing, I simply pick my nose with my finger, then wash my fingers. If you're too good to pick your nose, just don't do it. but I'm enjoying it thuroughly

And I am just sadly....still waiting. Had to run home this morning, mail already here for the day and STILL no snuff. I'm even temptyed to place another snuff order with Nicotine Rush, as I hear their shipments should get to me in about 2 days.

Maybe by next week, I too can share my adventures in picking my nose. :lol: :lol: :lol:

That's too bad. I see earlier in this thread that you said you placed your order on the 6th. I placed mine directly from Toque on the 7th and received it yesterday. I'm sure your order will be there anytime!
