My favorites from toque so far...

    Whiskey & Honey
    Champagne
    Blueberry
    Raspberry

I also liked Espresso. I am still playing with the Bourbon, but it is a bit sharper in my nose than I like. The only one that still hasn't really grown on my is Toffee. But many other folks swear by it

Raddleman, it sounds like your nose is very sensitive. A lot of people are sensitive to Menthol snuff but manage fine on non-mentholated snuff. In your case I would start using a smooth/gentle snuff like Vanilla then try Peppermint but only in very small doses. Try using no more than 3 times in the first day and don’t use the next then use it 3 times again and then a day off. You could also try the rub method; rather than sniffing this reduces the amount of nasal secretions you produce and might help avoid the nose getting congested. First wet/lick your thumb and forefinger before taking a pinch and then gently rub the snuff on either side of your septum. The nicotine hit is stronger and smoother this way and the sneezing and burn are also reduced.
      Hope that helps.

I have noticed too that many of Roderick's "toast" style snuffs like Whisky&Honey, Bourbon and Toast/Marmalade are ones I can use a ton of nightly without getting stuffy. T&M is my current fave. You might also try American style snuffs like Rooster, I didn't care for it initially, but the strong "BBQ/woodsmoke" scent is very nice and doesn't clog my sinuses. There's also one called honey bee that you can dab on your tongue and it's very sweet. I know Tom @ Nicotine Rush carries lots of American style snuff.

I remember reading something about nicotine in general (even the patches and the gums) causing sinus problems in some people. I forget why or where I read it though.

Though I can't imagine it would even remotely compare to the problems of smoke if that were the case.

I second the weird after effects of quitting notion. My friend had all kinds of sinus and lung problems develop about a week after quitting smoking and persist for like 8 months after. He also developed asthma during that period and an allergy to smoke. Kind of weird... but at least hit kept him from starting up again

If you ever need to clear out your nose or your lungs, just eat something nice and spicy - the more chillies, the better. Curries, mexican, whatever - just make it HOT. You'll be clear as a whistle in no time.
