Nasal Snuff?

Fortunately, I am not like Andy, snuff AND snus for me, each is made better by the other

Frankie, the snuff will not go bad, will last WAY longer than snus in fact. All of mine are open, and I go through a different flavor each day.

I use a bullet. Bought it specifically from Nicotine Rush. Although I rarely use it as a bullet as such, but way easier format to open, pour a bit out on the web between my thumb and forefinger. So usually, am snuffing that way, but occasionally useful to use the bullet itself. So bullet gives me best of all worlds, what's not to love.

No, here is my review of the others that I have tried. But for now, I am back to using just Toque. will play with the others again in a month or so.

First, let me talk about bullets. I have read all the comments on Snuffhouse and know that most people don't like bullets, say the dose is too small. But after making an utter mess on myself, spilling snuff on me when i am laying down watching TV, having brown spots all over my shirt, having tobacco all over my face, I really thought a bullet was the way to go.

So I was so excited to get mine, that was really the major reason for my order. But the first time I tried it, I hated it. Everyone was right I thought. So disappointed, I filled two of my new smashboxes and headed out to run errands. An hour later, I discovered one of the smashboxes had opened in my pocket, no more snuff. So I decided to try the bullet one more time.

This time, I filled it with the Whiskey & Honey, as that was the one I was most familiar with and was better able to gauge dosage levels. This time, I fell in love with the bullet. Sure, I may use it a few times to get what I need out of it, but it is SO simple and clean. I find now that I have at least doubled, if not tripled my snuff usage, as I can just keep taking hits whenever I want, especially if I am in public. So count me as a bullet advocate.

The first snuff I tried is the Dholakia Swiss Chocolate. I liked this one And maybe the first snuff that tasted like what it says it is. I have only really just touched it, will use it all day tomorrow though.

I then did a bullet of the McChrystals S'nuff. Everyone seems to really rave about Menthol, so figured I needed to give it a try. Sad to say, it really isn't my favorite. It just isn't what I seem to be looking for with snuff. I did a bullet of the Poschl Ozona Cherry next, and same thing. I couldn't taste the Cherry, and am learning I don't much like Menthol at all. So I went back to the Whiskey & Honey, and OMG, this is just SO good!! Definitely become a standby for me.

I did just a taste of the Rooster Scotch Snuff next. interesting, I will probably play with it one night this week to see if I should take it to work with me. Yesterday, I did a bullet of the F.U.B.A.R. - Grunt Snuff, really good taste. I expect I will come to love it. But right now, I simply think it is stronger than I am ready for. A bit uncomfortable in my nose. Even a bullet dose is almost too much. I suspect, as my nose gets more acclimated, this WILL become a favorite. just not yet. After that, I returned to the Whiskey & Honey and all was good.

Everyone raves about the Toffee, but I just don't seem to get it. It was my first ever snuff, and I did a bullet of it yesterday. But I was so happy when I was done, as I just seem to like the Whiskey and honey so much better.

So what's next? I will keep using the Whiskey & Honey, with other snuff in between, until I find a second favorite. I will keep returning over the next 6 months to the menthol to see if I develop a taste for it. I expect to place one more order in the next few weeks, but probably only more Toque for right now. I want to try some of the fruit flavors. But so far, Toque has been my favorite, probably better suited for my newbie nose.

I like the Swiss Chocolate a lot, but usually just use it to flavor the Toque. The Rooster is good, but still a bit strong. But my sniffing technique is much better, so will try it again soon.

I find snuff pretty interesting, it's in my daily use patterns, but honestly I could go without it(not without snus). I use it first thing in the morning as it clears out my sinuses and gets my eyes to water(dry eyes is usually how I know I should be asleep). I use it when I'm drinking, if I want to keep drinking but am feeling drowsy. and occasionally I use it before bed if one of my nostrils is blocked.

So for me it is used for various medicinal purposes besides the nicotine, because of it's secondary effects. the "buzz" or "lift" is gone in about 20 minutes for me. since I was never a smoker, I can't stand that "coming down" feeling and I don't get it with snus.

And I have been using whiskey & Honey since yesterday again. There really is just something special and unique about that one. It's just so right. I love a bunch now, but Whiskey & Honey, it's Super Love!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

My snus experimentation trial has been interesting. I have learned a few things also. I honestly am finding myself feeling not too keen on snus. Some were better than others, but I actually felt bad a few times I did it, and I think i don't really like something in my mouth. And I often find the juice upsetting my stomach. So, I may post something on the snus exchange thread pretty soon.

Now, one thing I am glad I discovered, is I like nasal snuff. In a snus exchange I did, I got 1 container of snuff, just out of curiosity, though at the time I was mainly only interested in the snus. So this nasal snuff sat in the container I put the snus in all this time, till last Friday, when I felt to see what this was all about.

The nasal snuff I got is Jaxons Snuff Cherry Menthol. So, first I read all the posts here I could find on nasal snuff, found another forum just about it, and read their posts, and read some websites about it. I bought some years and years ago, but was a regular smoker then, and really was ignorant about nasal snuff and it's use. So I am glad I took another chance, as I have been sniffing this many times ever since.

I know my post may be long, and I welcome, and want, comments. One thing it makes me wonder about, is nicotine and it's delivery method as possible effects. Like when I 1st did snus, it about made me wanna pass out and puke at the same time. I suspect it was the nicotine, as I am/was only an occasional smoker. But I never felt like that when I smoked a cigg, or a cigar even, and I inhale, or a bidi too. Also, when I did this nasal snuff, I didn't feel bad like that, in fact, I felt good, it gave me a kick.

I want to try more nasal snuff, and would be interesting in maybe a snuff for snus trade, if possible. I also would like to get a bullet, I have read about. One thing I like about this Jaxons Snuff is the container, it's very convenient, kinda like a TicTac container. Why is American Dip called snuff anyway? I would call stuff like Skoal and Cope, dip, and not snuff, snuff should be dry powder. It'd be easier to identify, Chew, Dip, Snus, and Snuff. But, anyway.

I have a silver bullet that I ordered online. Works pretty well, but I find it's better to dispense it from the bullet onto the hand/anatomical snuff box, then do it from there, rather than directly out of the bullet. Also the bullet needs to be washed out if you want to change snuffs.

I have some Wilson's Cinnamon on the way along with my Oden's Cinnamon snus!

I highly recommend Bestoke Gin & Tonic snuff if you've never tried it. Very unique.

I am a huge fan of Touque. I find it especially accessible for a new snuffer. I love the Whiskey-Honey, Champagne, Toffee, Blueberry, Raspberry.

I have a bullet, but rarely use it as such now, However, it is by far the most convenient way to pour out what I want onto the webbing between my thumb and forefinger. but when I am in public, having the bullet is convienant.

Silly question, but:

There are so many of these nasal snuff's called Scotch snuff. Does that always mean scotch whiskey scented snuff, or is there a Scotch style of snuff (as opposed to an American style).
