Toque is unique in that almost all of their snuff is great, I would order a 10gram sampler, pick something interesting.

I posted my snuff for snus trade list with pic on the exchange thread.

I got so much snuff I went crazy. Still have a lot left not counting the ones I wanna trade off. So I may do it again in the future.

I have ordered from Toque direct a couple of times, you really can't beat their prices and shipping, and their snuff is high quality.

I've been snuffing some Toque Menthol this morning.

So I got my shipment in...so far I've tried FUBAR Medic and Bernard Zwiefacher Schmalzler. So far I like them both, the schmalzler in particular is very fresh with an awesome smell. I'm a big fan of the menthol ones myself.

I've got a cold right now, not a single stuffed nose yet!

I ordered my first nasal snuff order today. I have done many of the American snuffs (mostly Garrett, Rooster and Tube Rose) but have wanted to try some I can't get at the local shop. I ordered bullets mostly so I have them and one menthol to see what its like.

          1 xToque Natural 1g Bullet $2.59
          1 xToque Cheese & Bacon Bullet $2.59 1 xToque Menthol 1g Bullet $2.59 1 xSpanish Jewel 1g Bullet $2.59
          1 xToque Original 1g Bullet $2.59 1 xF.U.B.A.R. Grunt Snuff 10g $2.99

I had to order the cheese and bacon. Bacon makes everything better and the FUBAR because I like the hit of an American snuff and read that it kicks like a mule. If I like I probably will try some of the fruity flavors and the chocolate but I'm sure this is enough for a start.

Also, I had an issue with the inital order and Tom at Nicotine Rush (unexpectedly) answered me back today (Sunday around 8 PM). Awesome customer service.

          Mike

I'm not a bullet fan, it seems made more for snorting, than snuffing. You did pick some good ones. I really like Fubar Grunt, I have a 50g of that. Toque makes a good solid menthol.

I always order from Mr.Snuff. But Nicrush has gotten in more variety. But snuff literally lasts me forever, what I have would last me several lifetimes.

As a snuff newb and a huge fan of menthol I ordered the Toque menthol,QWS Ice Cool and Dholakia medicated. Not sure which one will "Fit the Bill" for me yet,(Waiting on the mailman...hate postal holidays)but I am hoping to find one winner(or two)between the three of them! The Wiz!

Well if you want to get some tasty menthol, Order some of the Dholakia Sparrow cool, and the sandalwood, mild menthol but good stuff. I do not use much menthol due to it stopping me up, but these are nice, and if you are a fan McCrystals O&G is a must try., Try spearmint too, order some Wilsons Crumbs of Comfort. But I would rather have 50g of Grunt any day!

You almost have to order a 10 for 9 sampler from Toque, Its cheap, free shipping, and the man is a genius! I strongly dislike the bullets, wrong style of delivery for me, but a great way to carry and dispense on my hand.

Thanks whalen...If the Toque works out well for me I will try the sampler.I did order some sandalwood(QWS not Dholakia....99cents for 6 grams seemed fair).Almost had the Sparrow Cool in my cart...and decided on the Medicated based on a review or two.Spearmint may be a future choice for me as well. I certainly appreciate the advice! The Wiz!

Well as a New-by, you will just have to do some exploring to do, that is half the fun, it is important to try to explore some of the higher grade offerings if possible, there are some snuffs that can put you off for a while. The QWS is made by Dholakia BTW, they make She, Fubar, QWS, Blast, and a couple of others, do yourself a favor and put some Sparrow cool in your next cart, it is a high quality snuff.

McCrystal's O&G is the standard in medicated snuff AFAIC. The menthol level is perfect, and the scent's complex. I also like Samuel Gawith SGExtraMenthol. That has a prominent camphor scent.

Just mixed equal amounts of Toque Peach and the Peach Sweet Snuff...nice mix! Think I'll make a bigger batch here, hehe Easier to take than the Sweet Peach Snuff by itself, and a little more nicotine than Toque Peach alone. Kinda perfect! It just seemed like too simple of an idea...didn't think it would work as well as it does.

Ok, random, but it fit in the thread, soooooo

Thanks. I got the bullets more for portability as I never had one and carrying a tin around can be messy.

I've been using snus for about 3 years or so, and I'm thinking about trying our this nasal snuff. I've read everything in this thread, and I've looked at the Snuffhouse.org guide here:

                              http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/6/1/how-to-use-snuff/

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding how you actually use this stuff. From what I've read, you tale a pea-sized portion, and you inhale it toward the front of your nose. Not a hard inhale like doing coke or something, but hard enough to get it all in the nose.

Then I read this on that Snuffhouse.org link:

How long you keep the Snuff in your nose depends on your individual preferences. Some minutes should be enough for the taste to develop and to feel the stimulating effect of the nicotine. In addition, an increased production of nasal discharge should evolve. If you feel you need to get rid of it, just use a handkerchief...Snuff should remain in the front part of the nose. There, the taste and the nicotine have their best effects.

So...you take it out of your nose like a pris/portion via blowing your nose? Or can you just inhale it and forget about it?

Also, is snuff steam-cured rather than fire-cured? I saw the post with the health links, but some of that was over my head. ops:

You leave snuff in until it's ready to come out. If it isn't bothering you, you can just leave it alone.

AFAIK, there aren't any snuffs that are steam cured. They use just about every other method though depending on what flavor profile the maker's after.
