Got my Toque 10 for 9 sampler yesterday. Here's what I received:

      Natural
      Original
      Menthol
      Blueberry
      Espresso
      Coke
      Spanish Gem
      SP Extra
      Quit
      St. Clements

So far, I've discovered I really enjoy the Menthol. It's almost like a powdered, nicotined version of Vicks. The only snuff I've had before this was Whisky & Honey and I'm pleasantly surprised that many of these seem easier to take than that one. I always had a problem with W&H hitting the back of my throat, but it seems many of the varieties in my sampler are moister, so I don't have that problem as much.

One question, though. Some of them, such as Coke, seem to have a much stronger ammonia scent than others. I gather this is linked to freshness, but I've read of people letting their snuff air out so that the aroma of the snuff can overcome the ammonia. How long do the tins need to air out before the ammonia scent starts to fade?

The Whiskey and Honey is more like a toast, and harder to take easily, but is still a favorite of mine! I find that an hour of fresh air seems to work out most ammonia, and then the constant opening and closing works out the rest, but, it seems that each one has a mind of its own, the Spanish Gem does not air out well, takes a while, good luck with that.

It's funny, cause other have said that about Whiskey and Honey. It was my first ever, and has always been really easy for me to take.

Rooster doesn't really click with me. It's alright, but I prefer more smoke in my American scotches. Rooster smells very oaky to me, it's kind of like snuffing red oak sawdust :^D

I found the Toque "toasts" rather easy to take. I still use Whisky & Honey, and Toast & Marmalade.

Still waiting on my first snuff order from Mr.Snuff...I ordered this past Saturday and would have thought it would be in my nose by now. I may just be anxious after Getsnus.com had an order to me in 2 days! are they usually this slow? The Wiz!

Well, if you ordered Saturday, it probably didn't go out till Monday, and I don't know how his shop is run, but he may not have gotten the order till Monday, and shipped it Tues. It should arrive today, or tomorrow.

As a former hardwood flooring installer/sander, I've unintentionally sniffed my share of red oak, white oak, and the like. It can't be that bad.

Anyone here had those new Sun Snuffs from India? Being an Indophile I was curious about them, so I went on and splurged and bought all 5. I haven't actually bought any snuff in a long while.

Funny, I went to order them last night, put together a big order, and forgot to add them. Next time.

It's not unpleasant, just not what I'm after for a snuff scent. My favorite American so far is WE Garrett, nice and smoky :^)

Normally get stuff from him in 2 days, but there was a holiday so it wouldn't have been shipped till Tuesday. Holidays suck
