Nasal Snuff

You gotta start someplace, and Ii see no wrong in going for the hard stuff quickly. At least now you are prepared for why it might not agree with you. But at least go for it. I was probably 2 days in when had my first Rooster. Yes, was another 3 months before I tried again. :wink:

I had a pris of GES on the way into work last night (pris in around 8 ). I disposed of it about 10. First break @ 12, had a hit o' Grunt. Lunch around 2:30, another hit of Grunt. Last break @ 5:30, a lil Medic. Finally put my first portion in about quarter til 6. Now, granted, my nic requirements my not be as stout as others, but, for me anyway, a strong snuff can satisfy my nic needs for a few hours. I do, however, agree that nic shouldn't be the sole reason for snuffing. Most of the Toque snuffs I've enjoyed did not feel as if they give me much nic.

So my Toque order arrived today. I knew if I placed an order elsewhere this would happen as it did with my recent Snus orders.

First impressions. Tiny little tins, lol, I didn't realize how small the 10g were. With that said there is still plenty of powder to sniff, I just have to be careful not to dump one when dispensing. :shock:

So I tried my first hit out of the Raspberry bullet I ordered in conjunction with my 10 tin sampler whatever... Started out with a BB size hit and lightly sniffed trying to divide between each nostril. That went ok so I progressed to a Pea/Peanut sized hit. 30 seconds later... AhhhhCHoooo!!! There went my 02 Portion and partial plate out of my mouth and across the room.

Next I pulled off some toilet paper and proceeded to shove up my nose and almost puked at the visual upon inspection. ops:

All in all I can see some enjoyment out of this once I figure out better what I'm doing. The smell/taste is Ahh-Ite but my nose itches a bit. I'm amazed at how fine the powder is with this Toque but I don't have any of the other brands/American to compare as I understand those are even finer and dryer.

Also, are the Toque bullets the common size as in those you can buy as empties at NicRush, ect... ? Whilst I don't see me using the bullet other than a convenient carrier to dispense onto the back of my hand manually, it seems as if I could snort the contents of 1 bullet in 3 or 4 hits. :?

I can't really say as I have never ordered bullets from toque. but do use the glass and acrylic bullets from Nicotine rush to carry. And a bullet lasts me any where between 1 -3 days before I refill. Would have to use snuff at least 15 times in a day to refill after one day. So suspect the bullets from nicotine rush are larger

Just checked, the bullets from Nicotine rush hold 3g. so yess, a bunch bigger. Makes sense. My typical sniff usage is about a gram a day, occasionally a bunch more, especially if have Whiskey & honey in it.

The Toque snuffs are general grind, the Toasts are a bit finer. The "secret" to snuff, is learning to sniff it just with the right amount of force, to just puff it in the nose but no further. I am still not an expert. The amount of snuff one piles on their hand, or pinches, will be an individual determination based on trial and error.

Now many have said they have switched to snuff and quit cigs. I believe it can be done. I can't compare it to snus, as they are different.

Snuff is a learning experience, and just takes time to better the technique, and get used to it.

My recommendation is just use a pea sized amount on the back of the hand, give it a sniff in, not too hard, and then wait at least an hour, and do it again.

I actually just took a couple hits straight out of the Toque bullet as its designed and surprisingly it worked rather well. Note, I did have to open the bottom and stir the snuff up a bit first to get it to flow.

I refill Toque bullets and carry two with me at all times. Each has roughly the nicotine content provided by smoking a pack of cigarettes. So, a bullet a day keeps the cravings away.

Sage gave good advice. Everything is personal, of course, but I have found in my use of snuff that I like "coarse" and "wet" as opposed to fine and dry. You might differ. I am no longer interested in Scotches or High Dry Toast types or Rooster.

The Dholakia Swiss Chocolate is probably the single best snuff for a beginner. If you like coffee, go for Wow Coffee Bite, as well. These fit my idea of coarse and damp.

I did a little net search and this weekend I think I'm gonna get some antihistamine, guafinisin, and phenylephine, and lay off snuff for a full week and do the neti pot 3 times a day.

TB....How do you refill those Toque bullets?? Looks like they may unscrew from the bottom....but the lable is covering it up.I am afraid to try twisting it too much in fear of breaking it! :? The Wiz!

It's only about 1/8" of the bottom that unscrews -like a little cap. Might just be on tight.

So 40+ hours into my new hobby "Snuffin" and I still haven't completed my 1G Raspberry Toque bullet :shock: and I've been hitting this thing at least hourly (sometimes more) with only say a 7hr sleep break thus far. Does it sound like I'm not getting big enough hits via taking directly from the bullet?

The Toque bullet bottom indeed just screws off. It won't likely break. I use my pipe tool scoop to shovel up snuff and dump it inside the bullet. The scoop can also be used directly for sniffing, much as small snuff spoons were popular long ago. That pipe tool is some kinda versatile. It evens clean my fingernails ... but not with the scoop part. :roll:

Speaking of fingernails & toque bullets. Finally emptied out my initial Raspberry bullet yesterday and decided to remove the label so as to have a clear 1g bullet to re-fill with whatever...

Found some old finger nail polish remover in the cupboard the Ex musta left behind. Spent about 5 minutes rubbing this around the glue left behind when pulling off the label and now have a nice clean see-thru bullet!

I did just snag a metal bullet off MrSnuff via Ebay for like $9.99 (includes free shipping). Wanted to have something stronger in my arsenal because I have a feeling the first time I whack my leg against something or smash this thing in my pocket, I will be done with the plastics. ops:
