Nasal Snuff

I've got my canister of F&T toast in front of me and I'm using it a bit. I'd like to hear you guys describe what it smells like to you. This is the strangest smell. I'm not saying its bad, but its the kind of smell I never would think would be so relatively popular. What do they do to it? Is it an added scent, or is it the way they treat the tobacco?

In the tin, it smells like hazelnuts, and a very little bit of unsweetened chocolate. In the nose, it's a little nutty, but it just smells like roasty tobacco to me.

OK...for the past three days the Toque has been set aside so I could get a good feel of the tins that Qor sent me.

Being as I'm a huge menthol fan, these bad boys just hit the spot!! my favorites in order...

Ozona Raspberry-Quick menthol rush, then the raspberry kicks in. For a good 20 mins. i get a wonderful menthol raspberry aroma...then the menthol tapers off and the raspberry lingers for another good 15 mins!!! This stuff is great! I can actually "taste" the fruit!!

Ozona Spearmint_Same as above...great snuff...I just prefer the raspberry scent.

Ozona President-Good snuff...great to clean out the nose...I really enjoy all the Ozonas...I feel as though I am a newly converted fan of Poschl snuffs big time!!!

Gawith Apricot-Not a bad snuff by any means...my nose just has a bit of trouble detecting the apricot aroma> I'm mostly just getting the menthol.

All in all, great snuffs, and my heartfelt thanks goes out to Qor...I have been introduced to the world of snuff outside of Toque, and I'm loving it!!! Don't get me wrong, I still love me some Toque!

Yeah...you got me... ops: . Newports and Marlboro menthols for the vast majority of my smoking career. I guess that does make a difference!

I smoked menthols. Menthol snuff is not my thing at all. My nose just doesn't deal with it well.

I can't keep this Toque Whisky & Honey out of my nose!Seriously,I've been using it all week,at least 10 times a day and I can't get tired of it.It's weird cause with snus I rotate 5 different kinds,but I could see this W & H being the only snuff I use.It's not that I don't like the others I have,but this stuff is awesome. :lol:

I agree. W&H is great. I have been finding that I prefer plain tobacco flavors, but the W&H is so good I use it a couple of times a day at least.

I don't know if my preference to menthol snuff is due to my menthol smoking, or if my preference in cigs and snuff is due to the fact that i just love the flavor and aroma of menthol. When i was a kid i used to eat cough drops like candy, and i love to burn camphor on the incense burner. It drives Mamafish batty, but i just love the aroma! Maybe Sage is right about what he posted in another thread....maybe i AM weird!

LordJ,I understand. why I so often rave about it. I am mostly good and do rotate. But the W&H gets put in a few extra times. And always the days I use the most snuff, by a factor of at least 4x

W&H is also the only snuff I have had to reorder.



Coke is coming up quickly, but doubt it will knock W&H off it's #1 perch.

I am a big snuffer.

I recomend Toque and Molens as starter snuff.
The American snuff is more for an advanced snuff user since it is very dry.

My list of "Go to" snuffs are:

Toque Coke--great all day and really mixes well with Cherry and Vanilla from Toque to make a great Cherry Coke.
Toque Toffee---tasty.
Molens Choco and Chococream ---made by real windmills in Holland!
Toque Spanish Gem---easy to like.
Snuff Store's Blenders Bundle--an easy going beer flavor.
Bespoke---Real Coffee and Gin and Tonic---don't taste like the names but really good stuff

I could go on and on. PM me if you want more info.

Yes, my Wife should only know how much I am spending on Snuff and Snus......scary....

How do you like those Dholakias?

The scents are completely different from anything else I've tried. So far the Manjul is my favorite. Blast of clove with a touch of mint. Very fine, hits hard and doesn't linger very long. Clears my nose quite well without menthol.

The Kamal has an insanely strong scent. It is taking some getting used to. Very fine, hits even harder than Manjul and lingers a bit longer.

Ganga has an even more different aroma. Haven't been able to get used to it yet.

OK, just FYI, see the Snus Exchange thread, I posted a bunch of snuffs I am looking to trade for snus. I don't know what happened to me, but maybe I overdid snuff for a while, but it seems my nose just isn't wanting it as much. I'll still keep a few faves, and take a snoot now and again, but I collected way more than I need, plus this stuff seems to last me forever. So check it out. I also have some los cans, I'd like to trade for portions, or a los I havent had.
